View Full Version : New Playmate For Dutchess Finally!

Well, after months of looking my husband and I finally found a playmate for Dutchess again. As you all may remember our ragdoll Yum Yum went missing in December and everyone in our family took it quiet hard. Yesterday we went to PetSmart where the Jefferson County Humane Society was letting people adopt pets from them. We found a one year old (male) siamese. He is gorgeous and weighs 12 lbs already. His name is Zeus and we decided to keep that name for him. It suits him! He did very well on the ride home and didn't meow. Zeus and Dutchess are hissing a bit at each other but they haven't faught which is good. I will try and post some pictures of him soon so that everyone can see him. He is a very beautiful cat.

I'm sorry Yun-Yum did not return. I hope that she is safe. Zeus sounds like a great cat and I hope he and Dutchess will be best of pals.

I'm sorry that Yum Yum didn't come back. I'm sure Dutchess will appreciate having a new companion :)

It is a terrible feeling when your animal is lost , not knowing if they are in good hands , or are trying tofind their way home. i am praying that yum Yum will be with you again , until then thank you for giving Zeus a good Home. 12 lbs , he must be MAGNIFICENT!

Thanks everyone. So far Dutchess isn't happy at all about the new member of the family. Zeus on the other hand wants to play with her and she won't have anything to do with him. He finally is warming up to us and he sat in my lap for the longest time last night. I was so happy. :) Maybe this weekend I can get some pictures of him.
