Try a search on http://www.petfinder.org. I saw a few in Cinncinnati. Good luck :)

I went to akc.org and did a search for breeders in your state. It turned up several breeders, but I think they were breeders in general. Here is only one that looked breed specific

Any word yet, because I found other breeders for dachshunds at

I really suggest that you rescue a doxie puppy/adult, instead of buy from a breeder. There are dousens of reasons why, one being the huge over-population of dogs and the number of dogs that die every day in shelters (yes, including dachschunds). I suggest that you go http://www.netpets.com/dogs/dogresc/breeds/dogdach.html to that website, and contact one of the two Indiana Doxie rescues. If not, and you have your heart set on a breeeders puppy (which, by the way, credible breeders of any dog breed are hard to find), be a responsible pet owner and either spay/neuter your dog or breed him/her responsibly. I saw your recent post regarding a stud dog for your friend, and I am assuming that you really don't recognize the situation of over-population and animal mistreatment in this country. Anyway... good luck on whatever you do. I hope you find yourself the perfect puppy!

the price on one of the puppies in rockville was way too high. they wanted $700 for a female wirehair. i will checkout the link. thanks.

i will also check out the rescue orgs. it's good that you care for the animal kingdom. oh and by the way...cute dog!;)
