There's another Pet Talk Meeting coming up

Rachel (Countrywolf07) is driving down to Florida. She is going to meet KayAnn (kfamr) down there also. I *think* she's leaving around the 17th of March ???

KayAnn is trying to convince me to fly down there and meet them too! I want to so badly, I'm just a bit of a chicken. :o I don't think I've left myself much time either...plus I'd have to get work off.

I'd also like to bring Nebo. Well, we'd have to see what KayAnn's parents have to say about that first! lol :rolleyes: He'll probably be a butthole.

I dont' have much money I can afford to spend. Anyone know the best way to get discount airfare? And what about flying with a dog?? What is required? I've only flown once (to Idaho, lol) and I know nothing of flying.

I'm pretty sure my parents would allow you to stay, Nebo to, as long as him and Sim get along. I REALLY want you to come. Meet me, Rach, Simba, Honey, Orion and Lauren. We could go to the dog park, dog beach and go visit my babies at the humane society! Of course take LOTS of pics.:D I really do hope you plan on coming.

The best way I've found to search for flights is through cheaptickets.com. My parents found round trip flights to Florida from Portland for $219.. amazingly cheap! If you find a flight that looks good, before you buy it, call the airline and ask them what their policies on pets are. Sometimes you can get the same price directly from the airline too, although most of the time the internet specials are just that.. internet only.

If flights are too much money and you can leave Nebo at home, Greyhound or Amtrack usually have good deals. The trips are long, but if you decide to sit on your butt for a long trip KayAnn and Rachel will know how much you wanted to meet them :D Taking the train, if it goes from where you are to where you need to be, is actually kind of fun and it's comfortable. The seats aren't cramped or anything. You will just sway for a day or so afterward as your body gets used to being still again! :D

Ok Amy. Rach just told me it's the 20th not 17th. WEE! perfect because spring break begins the 24th for me and the two days befor that, 22nd and 23rd, are saturday and sunday! So you won't have to stay home with my dad ! lol! Yayyy now i gotta search all over again lol

If she doesn't decide to come although i really wish she sould... We *MIGHT* be driving to Michigan this summer, which isn't far from ohio [of course] And we're bringing Simba, like always. The only reason we might be going is because my dad has been on disabilty since march of last year and JUST found out a few weeks ago... which means we're getting a big fat check for the months from march til now! And a check each month.:)

I really don't think I have enough time or money right now...plus I just found out yesterday that my boss at work is going to be gone about the same time. Since I work almost the same shift as her, I don't know how that would work.

BUT...let me know if you find out about Michigan, ok KayAnn? I could fly to Ohio at the same time. I hope you guys ARE gonna go there! And if you do, try to make it *early* summer..so I don't have to wait so long. :)

And I'd totally wouldn't miss being able to meet Anna and the gang too! And the rest of you Ohio people! lol You all can have another big meeting at the Dog Park and I'll join ya! Wish I could join you with Nebo boy but I don't know if that'd go over well w/ Rachels family....heh

The thing is though, it'd cost me almost as much to board him as it would to fly him.
