AC, I'm glad you got out of the abuse home and into a loving home where you don't have to be afraid and can share your love.
You look gorgeous, what a fluffy girl you are! Enjoy your new safe life, and have fun!

Congrats AC! And a BIG THANK YOU for your humans for saving you. http://www.gifpix.de/Blumen/00002068.gif

Good job! I'm glad you got that cat out of there. Anybody that would name a cat, "Attack Cat..."

In my opinion, in this case, A.C. actually stands for "Awesome Cat... Adorable Cat... Alphonso Cat... Always a Cat... Anything that is good Cat but not attack cat. Were it to become Anchorage Cat, then I could stop by and see it everytime I went to town.

That would be awesome, cat!

A. C., I'm so glad your purrents rescued you just in time! Somehow I've become the specialist in our rescue group in resocializing abused or under-socialized cats. It gets me  when people abuse animals.

Maine Coons are such amazing cats! (Another AC for you.)

A.C., I'm so happy that your story had a happy ending! Thank goodness that you were able to put the bad times behind you, and enjoy a new life in a loving forever home. You're a real beauty, inside and out, and I hope your special day is full of all the things you love the most! :) :) :)

You are very beautiful. I agree A. C. should stand for Awesome Cat! :D I am so glad you were rescued. I am shocked noone adopted you. I would have gladly adopted you. I have a black and white Maine Coon and she is the sweetest of my female cats.
I know all about grooming. Doobie will head butt me in the morning and then lick my face for her can of food. LOL. My brothers in Florida have a kitten which looks a lot like A. C. I only hope Gizmo, the kitten's name, is a pretty as you are. Congratulations on being Cat Of The Day. You are one awesome cat!;)

I agree too with FrostFrog that A.C. should stand for anything like ANGEL CAT, or ALWAYS CARING, or ALWAYS CUDDLY, or I wish ARIZONA CAT because then I could visit you, A.C.!!! You fur is an AWESOME COAT with beautiful markings! I'm so sorry for your terrible past, but Hooray to your wonderful present Purr-ents for all their care and patience!!!! Happy Day to A.C., who's ABSOLUTELY CUTE!!!!! :D :) :p ;)

:p  My vote goes to the name AWESOME CAT! :D :) Rascal the B/W cat was rescued from a similar situation , these people who sell drugs are ruining society and should get 25 years for peddling this crap! I am so glad that AC got out of that home and is now in a loving home where she belongs! AC ( AWESOME CAT) COTD!

I have tears in my eyes typing this...A.C., I am always so sorry to learn of kitties being abused...some members of our Pride were abused before finding us. Some scars never go away, but we send much paw applause for your purrsons who saved you and love you so much now. A.C., you are just beautiful! We pray the rest of your life will be one of happiness, love and assurance that you are a special girl...Catgratulations, lovely, on being today's Cat of the Day!

Warmest noserubs, snuggles and purrs...Bari and the Pride

Our friend, Eric, shared the following...it very much applies to A.C.'s purrson. God bless all who CARE!

I looked at all the caged animals in
the shelter...the cast-offs of human
society. I saw in their eyes love and
hope, fear and dread, sadness and
betrayal. And I was angry. "God," I said,
"this is terrible! Why don't you do something?
"God was silent for a moment,
and then spoke softly, "I have done
something. I created you."

Adorable, awesome, angelic A.C. I am so grateful to your humans for their compassion and caring. No living creature should ever be subjected to the abuse that you endured. We are so thankful you are now in the loving care of a family that will treasure you for the adorable, awesome, angelic kitty that you are! As the poet Robert Browning so aptly wrote..."A thing of beauty is a joy forever." You dear A.C. are beautiful of body and of spirit and the joy you bring your family, immeasureable. Congratulations to you beautiful, brave A.C., Cat of the Day!! Love and cuddles to you from Mr. B, Oliver and Sandra:)

Sweet A.C., I am so happy to hear of your new life. May your previous owner be reborn as something small and weak. It might teach her some compassion. She certainly needs it. May your new life bring you all the happiness and love that you so richly deserve.

Hello Everybody!

I appreciate what you all wrote regarding my cat, AC. I hope you can remember. This was a while back but I just found out today that AC made Cat Of The Day. I was so happy to find that out. :D

AC is one of 16 cats. She will be 11 in May. There are two cats here that are older than her. Our cats range in age from almost 10 months to almost 13 years. We love all of our cats dearly.:)

You all said some very nice things about AC, as well as myself, and I really appreciate it. I am so glad I rescued AC because she has paid me a million times over for that. She is such a sweetheart and a great mouser too. Occasionally a (suicidal?) mouse will get brave enough to come in here and it doesn't stand a chance around her. Mice can be very destructive to wiring, etc., so I'm glad AC is such a good mouser. Of course I don't let her eat them!

Anyway, sorry for rambling on. Take care and thanks again.

Don't be sorry...

ramble, ramble

and scramble

A.C. some eggs.

16 cats.

Wow!

16 cats.

What a grand life.

I have 16 fish.

In fact,

I have more fish

than that.

But five cats,

and five cats only,

live with me.

16 cats.

Wow!

But I am not jealous,

No, how could I be?

When the black cat

lives with me?

He doesn't live with you,

but does live with me.

Oh, Sherry, I'm sorry you missed the day your A.C. was posted, but I'm so glad you found out eventually (not too much later)! A.C. is so beautiful and couldn't have found a better home!!! It's been so nice "meeting" you recently! Like I was mentioning earlier, before you the person I knew with the most cats was a lady I used to work with who had 11, and now you've really topped that!!!! 16--WOW!!!!! I admire you! I'm so glad you finally got to read everyone's posts about your precious baby!!!! I see today's cat is also a Maine Coon from Maryland, and for a second I thought it was another one of yours--wouldn't that've been something!

Frostfrog, you have more than 16 fish--wow! Fish are unique and pretty (and photogenic), but I've never had any (yet). I'm not sure if you saw the kitty on Feb. 10th of last month, a beautiful "Ragdoll" boy named Ganesh from Eagle River, Alaska... I don't think you posted that day, but I know at least one poster asked if it might've been YOURS. (??) Just thought I'd mention it because I didn't want to think of anyone else missing their baby's nomination on COTD!!!!!

HAPPY DAY TO ALL!!!!!:) :D :p  ;)

It was great to see AC again. What a big fur family you have! Would it be possible, Paul and Karen, to e-mail COTD winners a reminder a few days before they appear?

felinefriend - I will have to go back and see that Eagle River cat, but it is not numbered among the five that live with me. I travel a great deal and often when I do, posting on COTD is more than I can manage and basically what I miss, I miss, and seldom back up to catch up.

Speaking of which, my next trip will begin at the end of the next week and will take me to AZ - first to Sky Harbor and one night in a nearby hotel, and then to the White Mountain Apache Reservation, where we will stay for several days.

I always try to photograph cats whereever I go, and I contemplated seeing if I could photograph your friends as I recently did those of Kohala and Sandy Frost when I was in San Diego, but probably my short time in the valley will be so rushed and chaotic that I would not be able to pull it off.

Yes, the fish are photogenic and I would highly reccommend them. I have two tanks - 55 gal and 29 gal.

FrostFrog, what a very thoughtful gesture how you offer to photograph other peoples cats!!! I know you've mentioned that before, but I didn't realize you've also done Kohala's and Sandy Frost's!!! Wow!!! I would be delighted to have you professionally photograph my babies, BUT I fear you would only get their scared faces or the ends of their tails as they made a made dash to hide under cover, ha,ha!!! I was curious when you first talked about this how you get other people's cats to stay calm for someone they don't know... or maybe it's just mine that get so skiddish around other people. Do yours get this way too? I wish mine wouldn't do that--even my brother in Phoenix has barely seen them. Actually, we had ONE cat only that was so sociable to everyone, but unfortunately that was Tommy, the baby we lost.

You must really miss your fur-babies (and fish) in all your traveling, although I admire all the travels you do! I think this adds to why your writing is so wonderful and you have interesting perspectives on many things! I always look forward to your humorous posts, and many make me laugh out loud!

Speaking of travel, I too will be at the Sky Harbor Airport, in two weeks from this Sat., which is when I'm going to Ohio to see my dad and family there. I hope your weather will be PURR-fect when you travel out here! I think Ken and I drove to the White Mtn. Apache Reservation a few years ago (he works on the Saltriver Pima Indian Res right by us). You can email me with any Arizona questions, or anything, at [email protected] and here is a link to my web site of my cats (and misc.) which I just updated about a week ago: http://home.earthlink.net/~kjalen/Ginny/CatsLife.htm

Do you have a website or portfolio of all your wonderful cat photos and other photography, travels, etc. I'm sure everyone would love to see that too!!! So nice corresponding with you, FrostFrog! ...more later... FelineFriend (Ginny)

I do miss them when I travel - terribly. I will communicate with you further on your email. Thanks for the link to you cats - I will check them out. I have a website that is under construction and if I ever finish it, I will post the URL. Or maybe one day I will just throw a few cat photos up on the mac site that I am a member of and post that.
