We have this toy box for all the cat toys:

When company is over, we put most of thier toys in it and put the top on, but normally, its open. The funny thing is, when we brought Olivia home, she immediately knew what it was for. :) She goes to it and pulls out what toy(s) she wants and then plays. Basil has sort of caught on, but Noah and Noel continue to think only mommy and daddy can get toys out.

Too funny! What does everyone keep their toys in?

I have a red box with a lid thats openable. I always put the toys in but they mysteriously (as if by kitty magic) seem to jump out and head for the bedroom!

Edwina's Secretary

Well...... Edwina has one basket for her hats, another next to her poppa's chair, one by my chair. There is an urn in the living room for her stuffed mice (she LOVES to play mouse in the living room  -- also where the Forbidden Yellow Chair lives.) Then at the top of the stairs -- she likes to play there too...hiding "under" a stair, etc ... - so she has a bowl there with dangling toys and finally she has a basket in our bedroom, mostly that has catnip toys in it! Many doorknobs have toys hanging from them and there is one on her favorite window.

And of course....she prefers a q-tip?!?!?

Tubby & Peanut's Mom

Peanut has her mousie, which normally lives on top of the bed but has been known to take a vacation under the dresser for periods of time. And they have their cat dancer which normally lives in the magazine rack upstairs. I pull it out and play with them & it for awhile, then put it back. And I guess you could call Peanut's box a toy, that lives in the dining room (I had to put a note on it so the cleaning lady wouldn't throw it away  ). These are the few toys they have.

Tubby has never been a toy cat. When I play with the cat dancer, he'll bat at the cardboard things for a bit, then start going for my hand - and he's been doing that all his life so I've bought few toys for him....but many bandages for me. ;) :D

Peanut will play with other things - like milk jug rings and such, but other than her mousie, she has never played with any other store bought toy except the cat dancer, and she's really not overly thrilled at that either.

I guess I just have boring old cats. <sign> Time for a kitten in the house to liven things up. ;) :D

Under one of my end tables sits a wicker basket full of toys. Max does not play - it's beneath him, but in the middle of the night Speckles will pull out her favourite fur mouse and bat it around in the living room. Then she will sit beside it and "howl" and I mean howl. Her meow is high-pitched and loud and wakes me up all the time. Not quite sure what this is but maybe she's announcing to the world that she's killed her prey???? As soon as I get out of bed and pet her, she stops meowing....hmmmmm

UMMMMMM.....EEEERRRRRRRR......WEEEEELLLLLLL

it's called the floor.:o When we vacuum, they get picked up and piled on whatever is the closest.....chair, hassock....etc, but they all end up right back on the floor, and all over the place, too. Oh well, it IS their house, we just live here.

*blush* There are two wicker baskets that most of the toys go into (I put them in, somehow they migrate out when no one's watching...) but there still are toys scattered from one end of the house to the other.
