Getting mad at her, when she gets excited and pees
will only make matters worse. I might be wrong but isn't this a sign of submission?
Our little terrier use to Pee every time we came
home or when she greeted others.
We ignored her for a few minutes when she did this.
She did grow out of it when she reached around 1 year.
Her and Rocky took a good 4-5 months to potty train too,
compared to our other dogs
who took less than 3 months.
Each dog is different, so just be consistant
with the potty training and never leave her in the house unsupervised while she is a pup, or it will
take much longer to potty train her.

I am sure you will get some very good advise from others
on this list. Just don't get mad and have patience,
remember she is just a baby. :)

it took a lot of work to get mickey to be housebroken. you have to be patient and consistent. do you have a "potty scheduele"?
mickey is 3 months and housetrained but it wasn't easy. i'm sure there will be other advice so i just wanted to wish you luck! :)

Timber used to pee every time someone came over! luckily, she was outside alot of the time, so she never did go pee in the house...but she grew out of it very quickly...
my dog leather, didnt take long at all to housebreak...she had a problem where she would go outside for a really long time, but never pee out there...the minute she came in, she would pee on the floor....so we would point at it while scolding , and then rub her nose in her pee....not exactly the yummiest thing in the world, but it worked! my friends do that with their puppy too, and hes only 8 weeks old, and about 90 percent housebroken!
i still do like the newspaper trick i told u, although that one takes forever...

If you know someone is coming, go outside to greet them. Take puppy for a tiny mini walk a few minutes before the guest comes so her bladder is not full. Also take puppy outside the very first thing when the family comes home, then at least her excited dribbles will be outside. Tell her what a wonderful girl she is when she goes potty outside. She will get the message. It does take time and a lot of patience--and some paper towels. All of this is part of the wonderful thing we call a puppy. Enjoy her baby hood and take tons of photos. You can never have enough baby photos and they grow so fast!
