You can smell them across the streets in the summer, and most houses have mango trees there where you can pick them fresh! YUM!

2. Cherries!
3. Grapes
4. Nectreens (I like them better than peaches. No fuzz)

My favs are:

1. Mangoes (Pops - I haven't had a Pakistani one, but the ones from Puerto Rico are just as you described.)
2. Passionfruit - yummmmm!
3. cherries - I literally cannot stop myself from eating these things.
4. berries - any kind, any shape, any time!
5. peaches - love the soft skin and the juicy innards!
6. bananas - I like them when they're JUST ripe with a wee bit of green on them.

I love peaches, nectarines, plums, bananas, oranges, kiwi, pears, grapes, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. I really dislike blueberries, huckleberries, boysenberries - a lot of the really tart tasting berries I don't like.

Persomans? (sp??) Those dark orange fruits right? Yes I have tried them. There are two kinds. One is crunchy, sweet, and not dry. That one is great. The other, if eaten before totally ripen, is DRY DRY DRY! OMG! It makes your mouth so dry that it feels like you have no water left in your body. Its NASTY. But try it when it is so ripe the juice spills all over. You'd think its a fruit from heaven. One of our neighbors has two persoman trees in her backyard and gives them to us ALL the time. I hate when they are dry and nasty, but onces they become so soft and juicy, they are DELICIOUS. I LOVE them. You must have tried a nasty dry one. YUCK. My dad ate one of those the first time he ate them, and now he won't believe us that they are good when ripe. He won't touch them. :rolleyes: They are extremely good for your health too. Maybe try a well ripe soft and juicy one this summer and you might change your opinion. :)

Nobody has lost my respect. Though I did find it a bit petty....you do realize you were fighting over a valentines signature ?? Yes, it *should* have been via PM's, but Cookiebaker was the one who brought it up in the thread. I don't think KayAnn is entirely to blame here.

Either way, it looks like it's over now, so I'm glad for that.

On the topic of fruit....I like Strawberries, Apples, Oranges, Kiwi, White Grapes, etc...I'm picky about apples though....I don't like the red kind...the skin is bitter. The fruit that I hate is pineapple. I don't care for cherries either.

Yeah, I did try a dry one! I have no idea where I can get a ripe one though, especially this time of year. Do they sell them at regular food stores, like King Kullen of something?:) I'd love to try one, I'm never afraid to try anything (well unless I have an allergy to it). Tomatos are a fruit...right? Also we had for three years a 0.5ha plantation of strawberries when I was still in the school, can you imagine? Hundreds of kilos just for us!!!! I miss those times. My parents are a little older now and they can't have so much work, anyway, we're not there to eat it all.

I always thought the fruit is the part of the plant that comes after the blossom. :confused: Melons come after blossoms. But then that would make tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, cucumbers, and other veggies fruits too! :eek: I don't know how they divide it, but personally, I divide it as (sweet and/or juicy: fruit) (not sweet, less yummy, can be cooked for dinner, not so juicy: veggie) :p I know that melons are "considered" fruits and so are pinapples (they are far to pretty to be a veggie!) so I take them as a fruit. Oh well.

They are good! And I'm still trying to grow my own! When I moved in November, my tree came with me. It is an offshoot of a Pomegranite tree that belonged to my great grandfather (the one I am named after). I have had blooms, but no fruit so far. My mom has the original tree in her yard and sometimes she might get 8-10 a year. They are a lot of work to eat, but so good!!! :)

I think my favorites are:

Bananas, apples, grapefruit, cantelope, tangerines, oranges, tomatos, and best of all fresh pineapple and fresh peaches!!!!

After the blossom stage comes the fruit stage. That's what I've been learning throughout the years! But then that makes many veggies fruits in reality! I don't know how they are divided, but for me, the sweet and juicy are fruits!!! (Carrots don't count as "sweet" for me. I hate them. lol)
