And our Jasmine is really convinced that you are her cousin. http://www.cathappy.com/jasmine.htm She isn't sure about the bath thing...we agree - that is truly unusual! Jasmine runs into our bathroom each morning, jumps up on the counter and excitedly waits to be brushed, but we've not tried WATER! Might be interesting, but why do I think it is probably also "messy!"

I see you have you black bandits' mask on.;) LOL One time when Francine was a kitten, I was unsuccessfully trying to give her a bath she reached up and changed the water direction and I got a shower instead of her getting wet. No water dish for you huh, you will just help yourself. I love the pose its like you are saying scratch my head and give me belly rubs. Congratulations on being Cat Of The Day!

Beautiful Bandit Baby, with two threads going today for you!!! Another kitty who loves to be wetted down, just like ours used to, and how we were talking about that with yesterday's COTD who got baths. You live in the Sunshine State, Bandit, and my kitties and yesterday's Ananda live in Arizona, so maybe it's the kitties in these warmer states that actually like to be wetted down! What a handsome fellow you are. My cats love drinking from the water faucets too. They can't turn them on, however. Please don't teach them or they would have them running all day and enjoying their second favorite thing, watching water go down the drain. Do you enjoy that too? Two bathing cats in two days - I am being Banditized, robbed of my sanity.

The question of whether or not Bandit can also turn the water off it is a good one and if he can't, I suggest that you teach him to do so immediately, otherwise, I see great trouble in the future. Everyone will be out of the house except for Bandit, who will step to the sink, cough up a hairball straight into the drain, plugging it tightly. Bandit will then turn on the water, give himself a bath, then go happily about his day.

Meanwhile, the sink will fill up but the water will keep coming. It will pour out onto the bathroom floor, then flow into the hall and from there it will invade every room of the house. If you have a basement, it will quickly fill and fish will mysteriously appear and start swimming around down there - those blind fish, the kind that live happily in caves where no light creeps.

You will come home to find water gushing out your windows and door; the neighbors will have gathered around and will be staring with awe, wondering just what could have caused such a phenomena.

You will fight your way through the current, up the stairs to the front door, which has been swept away. You will peer inside and see the answer, for by now, of course, Bandit will have decided it is time for another bath and will be taking one, right in the middle of your once fine living room. You will swim to the bathroom, turn off the water and let your house drain.

Later, as the last of the water trickles out of your living room, Bandit will rub his wet fur against your leg as you stand there, crying. You will reach down and pick him up; you will snuzzle your face against that wet fur and even through your tears you will say something kind and affectionate to Bandit, for that is how it is with good people and the cats that live with them - no matter how much damage the cats wreak upon their homes, they continue to love them and to speak kindly to them for they are greater treasures than even the homes themselves.

Still, I would suggest you teach Bandit how to turn the water off and that you implore upon him the importance of doing so. Do it right now; don't wait!

Nice of Bandit to get all this attention - a very deserving boy! I've personally never known a cat to "shut, close or put anything back!"
