Robyn, this must have been done by pros. It is so shocking to see no engine...and they even took the damn airbag too! Airbags are very expensive you know. Wow.

I wonder if the cops will do their homework and look for cars titled in the areas, similar to your hubby's car. It makes me so darn mad to see this.

I hope your insurance company knows what its doing and deals with the repairs or calculations accordingly. You may want talk hubby into buying a dull, no-extra car this time. Just kidding, but I will have to admit that the car has this "come steal me" look to it.

Maybe a big ugly doggie, with large teeth, to sit in the back seat would deter theives.

Keep us posted.

P. S. They even steal cars here in rural Vermont, so there is no need to move to secure your car ownership. You wanna buy my old 94 Corolla with 159,000 miles on it? There is no rust!

Robyn,

Whoever did this obviously knew what they were doing and knew what parts were valuable. I'm glad you got the car back but it must've really hurt seeing it in that condition. Just don't take any crap from the insurance company. You KNOW how they can be when it comes to shelling out money (YOUR money) for stuff like that. Stick to your guns and get what you've got coming to you. If not, get a lawyer or threaten to. It does work. Good luck.

Hey Sallyanne it's just getting broken in! Corollas are like the Energizer Bunny - I have had a couple of them!! hehe!

Robyn - you should post a "before" picture so we can get the full effect of just what was lost. :( Some people just don't want to do a honest day's work for a living but feel no conscience about taking the fruits of other's labors. :(
