Dearest Willa, what a precious African Pygmy Hedgehog you are! You're so pretty with that white coat and brown and white spikes, and that sweet face with that pink nose and lovely big blue eyes. What a nice story you have to tell! You came to your dear Mom and Dad by chance. Their friend had you but could no longer keep you. Your parents-to-be had never had a hedgehog but could not say no to an animal in need. You went home with them and settled right in! You became a part of their family, and everyone you meet falls in love with you.

You have the most delightful personality, shy but sweet. You tend to be a bit grumpy when woken up, but a treat will brighten your mood! You enjoy car rides, and you love to run around in people's laps and sniff everything. You even make messes and then clean them up! You've befriended your housemate kitties Shadow and Squeaky and 3 foot long iguana Rex. You've even made friends with with Grandma's cats Spooky and Max! You've taken over your family, who say you're nothing but a ball of quills and love. You all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Oh my gosh! What an adorable, oh so precious, beautiful ball of love and quills you are, Willa! It's easy to understand how everyone you meet falls hopelessly in love, beginning with your parents the very moment they laid eyes on you! Animal lovers, though never parents to a Hedgie, nevertheless they took the plunge, opening up their home and hearts to you and the rest is happy history! And as in your family's tradition, you too truly are a friend to all, including your 3 foot long Iguana friend, Rex!:D


She has made some friends in her travels. She has befriended Shadow and Squeaky, two large cats. She has befriended a 3 foot long iguana named Rex. She has even made friends with mom's cats Spooky and Max.

And not only are you beautiful with a heart of gold, you're quite the playful, fun loving character, packed with personality, a never ending source of laughter and entertainment...just like your Daddy!:p


She can be funny too. She seems to know what makes people laugh and she will make a fool of herself for a laugh, just like her father :)

How very lucky your Mom and Dad are, having a card carrying family member, a quill baby as adorable, as sweet, as special as you in their lives! You may not have been a planned addition to the family but fate will have its way!;) Honestly, Willa, you truly are a tiny treasure, beautiful inside and out, simply the best!

Great thanks to your Mom for sharing you with us today! Meeting you, reading her heartwarming tribute and seeing your swoon worthy pics has been such a treat! I hope you're treated to a very special day (and night, lol) of celebration...munching on a yummy pea pod or two, a slice of watermelon; curling up in your igloo, enjoying a nice, long nap; cuddling with your parents, receiving countless chin skrtiches; being loved and pampered to pieces by your family and all of your adoring friends and fans!
