Greetings, sweet, sweet Sugar in Georgia! Happy Pet of the Day to you! Seeing your beautiful, heart-melting photos up on my Pet of the Day screen this morning, reading your proud human's heartwarming tribute has been the perfect start to my day!:)
What makes my pet special is that he helped me overcome very tough times. I hated life, disliked myself, didn't trust anyone in this world, and then along came Sugar...
What a wonderful day that was, Sugar, the day your human welcomed you home! Thanks to your unwavering devotion and "tough" but unconditonal love, life was suddenly looking brighter, your human well on her/his way to emotional healing, learning to enjoy and embrace life with joy, to trust! That is the transformational power of our animal companions: their unconditional love and unwavering devotion.
I had aggression problems. I was over-emotional and distrustful. Sugar didn't let me be that way. He would act the way I did and punish me with bites if I tried to be harsh. He changed me completely.
Best friend for life, mentor, partner in and out of the ring, you're all that and SO much more, Sugar! Not only have you made your human a better person, you've made her/him a better rider! And while you may be pony sized, your big heart and determination sure showed the doubters wrong!:cool:
I also became a MUCH better rider. As Sugar only stands at 13.2hh people started to say I needed a better horse. We proved them WRONG.
When Sugar competed for the first time in Show-jumping, my trainer - who didn't think Sugar was capable of jumping 10cm - was ASTONISHED! And then Sugar astonished a larger crowd. My whole stable was shocked when they found out my 134cm pony jumped 120cm (4ft!)!!!
How cool is that! What a terrific life partner your human has in you, Sugar, and you in her/him! No doubt it was destined to be that you and your human would be together, best friends and soulmates for life! How lucky she/he is, having you in her/his life, Sugar, having known your love and devotion the past 10 wonderful years! Beautiful inside and out, they just don't come any more special than you! You're the BEST, one in a million, heaven sent!

I hope you enjoy a very special Pet of the Day celebration, Sugar...spending special time with your human, munching on your treat of choice, some yummy apple, carrot or peppermint; being loved and pampered to pieces, treated to all your heart desires and more!
