Hi Cocky from Down Under! Happy Pet of the Day to you, sweetheart!:)

What a breathtakingly beautiful, oh so photogenic Eastern Long-billed Corella Cockatoo you are, Cocky! I just can't get enough of your photos! And not one to stand on your good looks alone, you're bursting with personality, one cheeky, playful, fun loving fellow for sure!

Your family may have intended for you to be released into the wild, but clearly you had other plans!:D How lucky your humans are, having been chosen by you to be your human family!


Unfortunately, even with standard precautions, it failed to work the other way, and he imprinted on my sister's voice. A few hours after he was let go, she was surprised to find him waiting at her door at the wildlife shelter where she worked. So we adopted him and he adopted the name. Now a teenager, he's far too cheeky, far too curious and far too clever for his own good! Especially now that he has discovered Skype!

Skype???:D What a character! What a wonderful addition to the family you are, Cocky! You truly are one EXTRA special boy, sweetheart! Your humans are so very lucky having a beautiful, joyful, fun loving feathered family member in you; their source of endless joy and laughter! You're the best!!!

Thanks for starting my day off with a BIG smile, Cocky! Reading your family's love filled tribute, being treated to your over the moon, heart-melting photos has been pure joy! I hope you're treated to a very special Pet of the Day celebration...playing catch and peek-a-boo; investigating your back yard; chatting with your friends on Skype, lol; spending special time with your smitten humans; being loved and pampered to pieces! Dearest Cocky, you are utterly adorable! What a beautiful Eastern Long-billed Corella you are, with those gorgeous colorful feathers and that sweet face with what looks like a big smile (and probably is!). Thanks for sharing all those great photos with us. You are absolutely stunning in every one of them. Your dear person is quite a talented photographer, but then how could he/she miss with such a gifted model?! And what a terrific story you have to tell! Your people planned to release you into the wild after being weaned from the nest, but you let them know you had other plans, and so they adopted you! You have the most delightful personality. You're full of energy and make your people smile with your antics. You're very affectionate, too, loving cuddles and politely asking for scratches in English, indicating just where the scratch should be applied. You and your people all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
