What a gorgeous, personality packed, people loving African Spurred Tortoise you are, Leroy; 100 lbs of pure love; a true gentle giant...and smart to boot! I only wish there was something placed beside you in your photo, to see just how big you are!:cool: (You weigh as much as me! hehe)

You're my kind of "surprise guest," Leroy! I can only imagine the looks on your humans' faces, the day you sauntered into their yard! We're all familiar with that dreaded guest that overstays her/his welcome, but it's no wonder your family rolled out the red (get it?:D) carpet for you! How wonderful that you decided to stay, sweetheart, for you and your family truly were destined to be together! As the saying goes, sometimes the best things in life come along when we least expect them!

How lucky your family is, having a shelled full fledged family member as beautiful, as gentle and loving, as special as you, Leroy! You're simply amazing, a treasure, and so very deserving of your big day of honor!


He likes people and loves to have his neck scratched. He comes when called and has a smile on his face and is great for stress relief, just sitting around with him and letting your mind wander.

You are so beautiful, walking along in the middle picture and facing forward and looking straight out at us in the others. We can really see how you enjoy your food in the first one, and in that last one you're happily smiling out at your world!

And what a nice story you have to tell! One day you just wandered into the backyard of your potential family and decided to stay! And they welcomed you and made you right at home. You have the most delightful personality! You love people, and you come when called, and you enjoy having your neck scratched.
