GOD I HATE PEOPLE!!!

The temptation to take number 21 is almost overwhelming in this case and I hope the lousy sorry piece of filth that did this rots.

Snoopy is a 5 y.o. tricolor, intact male beagle whose "master" was caught in
the act of savagely beating the daylights out of him. He is UTD on
vaccines, has a limp from a previously broken leg (probably from another
beating, although the family says its either from jumping from a balcony or
being hit by a car), and may have suffered broken ribs (either from this
last beating, or from previous ones). He has been chained on a short chain
for his whole life, and is not houebroken but shows every sign of being a
bright and intelligent example of his breed, so he will learn quickly with
some patience. He drops to his belly every time approached in what he
perceives as a threatening move, such as raising your hand to scratch your
face. He needs to lose a little weight too. But he will be a loving, quiet
and gently friend to his new guardian. Beagle experienced home only, and
extra references will be required due to the dog's history. He should NEVER
have a hand raised to him again.
Phone calls preferable, as email is not picked up every single day.

Very Drooly Yours,

Has anyone rescued sweet Snoopy yet?? I'm a little late, just saw this thread. We got Abbey from a beagle rescue, and I know the owner there would take poor Snoopy in a second. My parents also have always had beagles, they might be interested.

I haven't heard anything about him. You might want to email the woman who originally posted the story. That would be awesome if your relatives could take him....another Pet Talk rescue!!! Let us know if anything comes of it.

I certainly will!! Our last beagle, Spike, died about 10 years ago, and my dad still talks about him--he was poisened by someone in the neighborhood--he and a poodle down the street--when he was younger, so it affected his life and he wasn't able to live as long as he should have. My dad was just saying at Christmas that if he hadn't gotten sick, he probably would still be laying around, getting fat, lol. I know they miss him so much!!

I just called and talked to the woman's husband and he said he would have her call me yet tonight and I'll see what I can find out. I hope your parents will take him. He sure does look like a cutie....reminds me a lot of our Billy.

Awww, what a cutie! At least he was well-fed. Usually the abuse and neglected cases (and both my fosters) are so unbelieveably skinny! Good luck to you, Snoopy!

:( I tried my best, but dad says no way. Their dog is 14, and the vet actually recommends that they not get another dog now either.
I hope Snoopy has found a happy forever home.

The woman never called me back, so I don't know the situation.
