Dearest Jenny, what a beautiful Border Collie/Labrador mix lady you are! That blonde coat is so pretty and looks so very soft, and you have the sweetest face with those lovely big brown eyes and what looks like a big smile (and probably is!). I wish I could reach through the screen and across the ocean to Essex, England and pet you! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved friend Lauren will pet you for me :).

And what a story you have to tell! You've been with your dear family for fourteen years now, since before your dear friend Lauren was even born! You had been abandoned in a gutter, cold and hungry, and I'm horrified to think of the purely evil alleged-person who did that. I'm so very glad and grateful that you were rescued by the R.S.P.C.A., and I thank those wonderful people who saved you. And then Lauren's Mum and Dad went to get a dog, saw you in the corner, and knew you were the one, saying that's the perfect little Dog for our family! Lauren was born not long after, and she's known you her entire life. You're the best dog ever, part of her family, and you've taught her so much. You and she and Mum and Dad all love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Hi Jenny in the UK! Happy Dog of the Day to you, and to your devoted young lady Lauren, too!

What a beautiful Labrador x Collie girl you are, sweetheart! You have the prettiest blond coat, like spun gold, and eyes so filled with love they could melt the hardest and coldest of hearts! Beautiful in looks, that you are, but even more beautiful on the inside.

You certainly had the most horrific start at life, Jenny.:( Blessedly you were rescued, finding your way to the most loving of furever homes, the most devoted furever human in Lauren. Endless thanks to your family for choosing rescue, opening up their home and hearts to one most deserving pup. They knew the moment they laid eyes on you that you were "the one," and how right they were!

What a lucky young lady your Lauren is, having grown up with a best furry friend as special as you, Jenny; having known your unconditional love the past wonderful 14 years! Every young person should grow up knowing the love and friendship of a furry friend, an animal companion, and there's no doubt that in you she has been blessed with the best...the BEST dog EVER; her Dog of a Lifetime. And while you may be entering your golden years I hope, and believe, that many more wonderful days, years, await you and Lauren. What a treasure you are, Jenny, one in a million and yes, SO very deserving of your big day of honor!


I have know her my whole life, she has been part of my family, and taught me so much. Though I know she cannot live forever, her memory will! And that's why i think Jenny should be Dog of the Day.
