Dearest Benvenuto, what a beautiful Hanoverian Horse you are, with that brown coat and black mane and tail! You are absolutely gorgeous in that great photo, trotting along with your dear lady riding you. And what a story you have to tell.. with a horrifying past but a wonderful, uplifting outcome. I was heartbroken to read of how very badly you'd been treated for so long. I am so very, very grateful and glad to learn that that good, kind person learned about you, went to see you, and fell in love! She rescued you from that nightmare, brought you to your true, loving, permanent home, and started getting you well again.

Now it is five years later, and you are in fine physical shape and have proven to be quite talented! You're a wonderful dressage horse, also showing some jumping talent. Your manners have improved, and you've become a barn favorite. You love attention and especially love treats! Children love to pet you, and you stand patiently like a statue. You are very special because you got a second chance and loads of love, and you've turned your life completely around! You and your lady love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

What a beautiful Hanoverian you are, Benvenuto, and not only in looks but in spirit and heart as well!

I was appalled, sickened reading how abused you were by that awful woman. How anyone could take out their frustrations by taking a bat to a defenseless animal is unconscionable! Thankfully your forever human came to your rescue before any more harm could come to you, providing you with all the love and care needed to heal you, physically and emotionally!

It never fails to amaze me, the indomitable spirit of our animal companions; their ability to forgive despite having suffered such abuse! And now, living the carefree, love filled life you so deserve, your true inner light is on full display, in the show ring and in the hearts of all fortunate enough to know you! You truly are a gentle giant, a friend to all, just as special as can!


No one believed in this scruffy, underweight, ungainly beast but Ben has proved them wrong! My horse is special because he got a second chance and has blown even me away!

Endless thanks to your lady for believing in you, giving one extra special and most deserving boy a 2nd chance a happy life! Reading rags to riches stories such as yours renews my faith in humankind! Your lady is one lucky soul, having a beautiful and talented, gentle and loving best friend and partner in you, Ben! You're the best!!!
