My dear little loving and beloved Tortie lady Galaxy is an Angel now.
She was diagnosed with cancer recently. Yesterday she took a turn for the worse. She was so thin and slight. I took her to the vets this morning.
And tomorrow's my birthday. Happy Birthday.
I gave her the best care I could, and I love her (and always will) the best I can. What a sweet, lovely kitty Angel lady!
Love from Pat and Galaxy Angel (and Sparkler too, of course)

My heart breaks for you, Pat.:( What a beautiful and brave girl your Galaxy was. She was so very lucky, having a mom as devoted and caring as you, doing all in your power to heal her, to make her comfortable and feeling loved. And now, having earned her angel wings, the heavens have been blessed yet another bright and beautiful Galaxy; the brightest of them all.:love::love:
Love from me, Tigg'r and Peach
(I wish this were a happier birthday for you, Pat.:( Please know I'm thinking of you and dear Sparkler.)

Pat, I am so sorry you have lost Galaxy. Now she is free of pain on the RB - I am sure she will meet Fister, and her other friends who went before her.
Galaxy had a long life and she was ready. You gave her love and comfort when she most needed it. Thank you for that - you are a wonderful cat-mom. :)
Rest in peace, dear Galaxy and send your mom some purrs.
Take care!

My first "sun halo." Looked up into the sky this afternoon, a bright and sunny day and omg, a rainbow around the sun! Never saw one before; never even heard of one! Had to look it up. I think Galaxy is busy, sending us a sign!:love::love:

Thank you, Sandra. That's gorgeous, absolutely phenomenal! I've never before seen one or heard of them either.
It certainly does look like it might be a sign from Galaxy!

Today I went to an Open House at Happy Hearts Feline Rescue (http://www.happyheartsfelinerescue.org/) in Manchester, MI, about 15 miles away. I've known the owner and the shelter for a long time. I've sometimes gone out there to help out a bit with cleaning and cat-cuddling and such.
This is where I was first introduced to Galaxy! We wound up adopting each other, not long before Christmas 2018. She was fourteen years old then.
It was so nice to see the kitties, and the people looking after them, and other folks who love them, today. There are quite a few older cats and ones with Special Needs there. I made an extra donation with a note on the check "In loving memory of dear Galaxy." So my sweet girl did a good thing for some other cats today!

How big should they be? I have them full-size and some resized to lower-pixel count. I can make them whatever size works best.

700 pixels or less usually works best for Pet Talk, thanks for asking!

Thank you for sharing those sweet pictures of Galaxy, she was beautiful. If she had had any kittens, I'm sure one would have been an orange - Fister's mom looked a lot like her.
And how wonderful that you went to Happy Hearts Feline Rescue (http://www.happyheartsfelinerescue.org/) and donated in Galaxy's name. :) I already found 4-5 adults I fell in love with.
Take care, Pat! I know you miss Galaxy, but perhaps one day you will go there again and get another kitty who needs help. I'm sure Galaxy would approve. :)
Wow Sandra, that sun halo is wonderful - what a shot you got there!

As you all can see, Galaxy and Sparkler had "social distancing" down long before it became the thing to do!

Thank you, Randi! I'm glad you liked the pictures of Galaxy. That's so nice that Fister's Mom looked like her! I think they (and Fister too, maybe?) have already become great friends at the Rainbow Bridge. And maybe many years back, before she was rescued and spayed, Galaxy had kittens, including an orange one.
And thank you for your kind words. I do miss sweet Galaxy, and so does Sparkler. Right now Sparkler is getting used to being the Only Cat. I'm not ready yet to consider getting another cat, but I wouldn't be surprised if some day another kitty comes home with me from Happy Hearts. There are several sweet older kitties there.

That is soooo sweet !!
PS. There is not such a thing like Belgian language .... . Belgium has 3 language zones: Dutch (Flemish) in the NorthWest, French in SouthEast, and German in the most eastern part of Belgium. Thisnlast is a remnant of WW2, where Germany was ordered to give a small region to the Belgium. Most people there still speak German! We live in the NW, called Flanders, near the beautiful city of Ghent:)
I hope I didn't offend you with my explanation...!?

Oh, that's fine, Lut! That's very good and very interesting to learn. Thank you for the information!
Galaxy has purring in Flemish (for your NW Belgian home?) down just right, so she and Sydney understand each other perfectly .. I mean PURRRFECTLY!
She can also purr in German and French, and in any other languages ever spoken anywhere.
