Cole again

Cole went for his regular oncology follow-up last Thursday.

The bloodwork was normal. The neutrophils were still a bit high but within the normal range. The lymphocyte level hadn't risen but was still a bit high, outside the normal range.

At his next checkup in 3 months a blood sample will be sent to North Carolina to see if leukemia is present. I better start saving up for that! ;) If he does have leukemia the treatment is prednisone. We won't treat it because pred will really mess up his diabetic blood sugar levels.

Still waiting for the higher dose of Palladia to be available for his mast cell cancer.

Dear Candace and Cole, I'm so glad for you both that the bloodwork went well and the numbers are within the normal ranges!

I'm hoping and praying that the bloodwork in three months comes out clean and that the higher dose of Palladia becomes available soon.

What a beautiful picture of sweet Cole! Please give him some gentle skritches and pets from me.
