Congratulations on being honoured as Dog of the Day, sweet Bruno - you so deserve it!

I’m thrilled to see your sweet face here, your beautiful eyes are so expressive and you have the sweetest nature. I know your mum and dad are proud. When I visit, you always come to the door to welcome me and I have been lucky to go walkies with you in Bluebell wood and in the nearby park. In spite of being almost 12, you are incredibly fast - you love when I kick your squeeky ball across the field, and you come back with it again and again.

I am so sorry you had such a bad start in life, being confined in a filthy cage and not given the love and care you needed. :( Luckily a woman saw you and took you home. A few years later, when she was unable to care for you, you came to your new family and you really thrive there. :)

Your mum and dad loves you so much and do eveything they can to keep you happy. You have been with them to dog friendly hotels and restaurants, and I was there the summer you got your pool in the garden - you were a little hesitant to go in to begin with, but after a few minutes, you absolutely loved it - and you don’t mind sharing it with your friend Bella. :D

You also have your own big bed next to your mum, but I know you prefer to sleep with her. ;) And she cooks you a special dinner every day!

But ugh, fireworks and thunder makes you very nervous, but you are never alone on New Years eve. It helps a little that windows and curtains are closed and the TV is on, doesn’t it! But to cuddle up with mum or dad is the best!

Have fun and celebrate the whole week with long walks, playtime, lots of love and extra yummy food and treats. I wish you a long, happy and healthy life, Bruno! :love:

What a treat to finally meet you, Bruno! I've learned so much about you, what a special pup you are from my dear friend and Pet Talk member, your auntie, Randi! Great thanks to your family for including so many heart-melting photos with their tribute! Such a happy, handsome boy you are! No wonder you steal the hearts of all the girls who cross your path! hehe

What a horrid start at life you had, Bruno, languishing in that horrid puppy mill for so long. Thankfully you were rescued by your dear first mom, only to find yourself, years later, yet again in need of a home! Happily, once again, a caring family came to your rescue, providing you with all the love, care and comforts you, or any pup could ever hope for, including your very own memory foam bed and swimming pool, home cooked meals and treats and best of all, all the love your heart can hold!:cool: Of course nothing beats sleeping on the big bed with the humans. Right Bruno?:D And oh, how far you've come under their loving care, no longer that restless and anxious pup of years gone by, but the calm, adjusted and oh so happy boy we meet here today!

What a lucky boy you are, Bruno, and how blessed is your family, having a beautiful, happy and life loving furkid and heart healer in you! You do your beloved predecessors, Bonzo and Maisy proud!!!

Thanks for the BIG smiles, Bruno! Meeting you today has been a joy! Dearest Bruno, Happy Dog of the Day! I also learned so much about you from your dear Auntie Randi, and it is a pleasure to meet you "in person," so to speak, now! Thank you for including all those terrific photos. Your beauty and your love and your pure joy in life all come through so very clearly in them all!

And what a heart-rending but then uplifting tribute your dear mum has written about you! I was horrified and revolted to read that description of your early life in that awful puppy mill. My deepest thanks to that wonderful woman who saw you there all alone, rescued you from that horrible place, and brought you to your first Home and your first experience of Love. And then, more of my deepest thanks to your dear mum and dad for welcoming you into their family after your rescuer was no longer able to take care of you. God bless them all for giving you the home and life and love you so badly needed and deserved, and for giving you all the time you needed to adjust to all the wonders and comfort and safety of your new life! My deepest thanks to all these good people, and my deepest thanks to you too, Bruno, for showing what a precious, strong survivor you are, an inspiration for us all!

Now you are living the terrific, delightful life you deserve and you deserved all along! You are a calm and happy boy (except during fireworks or thunderstorms), and you're very friendly with visitors. You have a touch of arthritis, so your dear parents bought you your very own memory foam bed, but you prefer to sleep at the bottom of their bed and cuddle up! They also bought you your very own big pool, which you really enjoy in hot weather. Though you've slowed down a bit with age, you still enjoy your daily AM and PM walks in the park and the wood, during which you can run around and chase your squeaky ball. You're also quite the flirt with the lady canines you meet, and you even have your own girlfriend down the road, who visits often! You and your mum and dad all love each other very much, don't you. Seeing you happy means everything to them! What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Bruno, on being chosen today's Dog of the Day! We hope you and your dear mum and dad and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats, maybe a special serving of sweet potatoes with lots of different vegetables and meats, along with a few Denta sticks. I know Bonzo Angel and Maisy Angel are rejoicing with you at the Rainbow Bridge!

My friend says thank you very much for your sweet replies, she enjoyed reading them. Although she had an examination at the hospital yesterday, she and her husband celebrated with Bruno later in the day, and he got some extra time in bed with her, and lots of cuddles. :) He is getting spoiled rotten and enjoys it! :D
