So, I'm browsing pet finder (to my husband's dismay), and I see this cutie

I know she's adopted, but I couldn't believe what I read--a gas chamber--is that what they use to euthanize animals in a shelter?

I had no idea, and it makes me very very very sad.

On a happier note, I saw a lot of dogs had been adopted recently while browsing, and the rescue where we got Abbey had all of their dogs on there, and there were 2 who were very shy around people, named Brooks and Dunn, and I see one of them has been adopted!! I'm so glad someone is giving them a chance, they really are sweet:)

Most shelters use lethal injection. They call it "blue juice."

As mugsy said, most use injection but there are a few that use gas. It is horrendous and needs to be stopped.

Both our local city and county animal controls still use gas. :(
