I've called Cole my miracle kitty before, but I was in for a surprise.
He went for his every-two-month checkup at the oncologist's on Wednesday. The oncologist always comes out to talk to me.
She said she has never seen a cat last this long without the mast cell cancer coming back. Cole hasn't lost any weight () and is still diabetic, but as far as the cancer goes he is still a miracle kitty!
Stats on mast cell cancer are rare. Cole is still on a low dose of chemo because we can raise the dosage if the nasty thing DOES come back.
He also needs a dental, so I discussed that with her as well. She doesn't like the idea of surgery in a cat with a compromised immune system. We'll discuss that further.
I wish miracles of health for Monroe and all other suffering furbabies!
