Dear, sweet Sugar Plum, sweet angel girl...My eyes fill with tears, every time I read heartbreaking puppy mill survival stories such as yours, imagining the hell you endured before being rescued.:( Sadly, some are not as "lucky" as you, Sugar Plum, never making it out of those houses of horrors after having spent a lifetime suffering such unspeakable abuse and torture. And for those lucky enough to escape, pups such as yourself, their ticket out too often comes with the price tag of a lifetime of physical and emotional challenges. I do not know how you managed to survive such abuse and pain, the strength and courage it took for you to hang until that blessed day of freedom. But one thing is for certain, you are a true survivor, a fighter, one brave and beautiful soul. And now, in the loving care of devoted furever human, slowly but surely you're learning to love and trust, to enjoy life, those emotional wounds, healing. Endless thanks to your hero rescuers for saving you, to your furever family, for welcoming one most deserving girl into their home and hearts. We can only hope and pray that those houses of horrors will one day be outlawed, their doors forever shuttered, that no innocent animal will ever know such suffering ever again.

Many thanks to your family for sharing your sad but ultimately heartwarming story of survival with us, giving us the honor of paying tribute to one brave, beautiful girl.
