I know that everybody has a different opinion on how to take care of a terminally ill pet, and everybody has to make their own decisions. I'm very passionate about it, but I respect whatever a pet parent decides.
I found a write-up on palliative and hospice care for pets on the AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association). It's rather extensive, but I found it very informative, especially because Willa is basically a hospice patient.

I just wanted to correct myself: Willa is receiving palliative care, not hospice.

Thank you, Heidi, for such a detailed reference!

Continuing good wishes to sweet Willa, and all your crew and you too.

I was afraid to even think about this subject for some reason. I really appreciate Heidi's opinion, thanks. Every animal is different, every illness and every caregiver of a pet needs to make a very unique decision. No judgment is appropriate, only good advice if it is asked for. I have an old girl and she might need some help eventually. Been through this many times and it never gets easier does it.
