Cole's insulin dosage has gone from 4U twice a day a few months ago to 1.5 twice a day right now.
AND it'll have to be lowered again as his numbers went to 2.1 this morning. I gave him 1/4 c. of kibble after that reading. His levels went up to 2.6 and are now at 4.1.
My regular vet says that the improving levels show that the cancer treatment is working. I don't know what the connection is, but it's all good!

Candace and Cole, I'm so happy to hear this!:love::love: I'm not sure either what the connection is, but I know that cat diabetes can go into remission (not in dogs!).

I emailed the glucose curve to both my vet and the oncologist yesterday. Dr. Becky, my vet, said this in her answering email:
"Looks like Cole’s curve is great. I would cut his insulin again to 1 unit twice daily. I think he may be heading into remission, so we may be able to get him off of the insulin all together!"
So, down to one unit tonight and tomorrow morning!:)
