What a joyful, fun picture that is of you experiencing snow for the first time, Luna! We do not know how anyone could ever have given you up in the first place, or why you did not get adopted before you did! Perhaps you were waiting for your current human to show your true self. We know you are perfect just the way you are, floppy ears, whip-like tail and all. It is great your new family knew your history, and knew to be patient with you, as you spent too long waiting for love and care. It is great you have learned so many important lessons, like how to be loved and how to love, as well as about things like the joy of bounding through the forest, playing in the snow - things most dogs learn as pups. But congratulations, Luna, you now not only have a forever home, and forever humans who love you, but you are Dog of the Day!

I agree, dogs need tails and ears.
Senior dogs are great. They are calmer than puppies.

I concur, a dog should keep the bits that come with. I didn't even recognise the breed at first. Not sure I've seen an adult Doberman with all the correct bits before, Luna is an awesome DOTD! Please forward smooches for me.

What a beautiful Dobie-Snobie girl you are, Luna! And my kind of Dobie, the kind with uncropped ears, an undocked tail!:cool: Not to mention you have THE sweetest face! It's hard to imagine a girl as beautiful as you being surrendered, languishing an unconscionable time in that shelter, and inexplicably, in abusive conditions!:confused::( But blessedly, at last, your forever fairy made an appearance, granting you that 2nd chance at happiness! You hardly knew what it meant to be a dog by the time you found your way to your forever humans, totally unaware of the great joys to be had in life! But, in true canine style, it wouldn't be long before you would be rolling with unbridled joy in the snow, feeling the warmth of the sun on your coat as you napped on a carpet of soft grass, learning what it means to be loved unconditionally, making up for all those lost years! And at just 7 years young, so many, many more happy, carefree, love filled years to look forward to! It never ceases to amaze me, the ability of our rescues to bounce back from such neglect, their capacity to learn to love and trust again! But, given the chance they do, and I'm so very happy that you, Luna, were given that 2nd chance at happiness! You may have once been a diamond in the rough, but oh, just look how you sparkle and shine now! How very lucky your family is, Luna, having a beautiful, gentle and loving best furkid in you! You're the best!:)

Joyful Dobie-Snowbie Luna! I am sorry that your life got off to a difficult start. But I am very glad you now have a happy, fun and love-filled life with your very caring person! You nap on the lawn and your coat gets warm from the sun. You romp and play in the snow! I like your natural ears and your whippy tail - I bet you are a wonderful ambassador for your breed!
