Oh, Ralphie, you knew which guy working on that old house to approach, didn't you? Just the right approach, politely sharing lunch, bestowing just enough affection, and you won him over! I am glad he brought you to the vet right away, and stuck with it long enough for you to become the healthy, loved kitty you should have been all along! And please don't mind us if we chuckle a teeny bit at your Christmas scarf picture, we can tell you were not terribly impressed with it, so thanks for keeping it on long enough for us all t see it! Your handsome green eyes and thick fur of many browns looks nice and warm on these cold days, but we know down in Miami, summers are very hot and humid, so we understand the haircut! You are a handsome kitty, an d we can see you love boxes, as any proper kitty should! Congratulations, Ralphie, you are Cat of the Day!

Dearest Ralphie, how handsome you are! You are so cute looking slyly at the camera in your Christmas snowman scarf. What pretty brown tabby fur you have, and you are so sleek and svelte-looking with your poodle-cut to get rid of your mats and be ready for the hot Florida summer. And what a sweet face you have, with those lovely pale green eyes so full of wisdom. I wish I could reach through the screen down to Hollywood, FL to pet you! But since I can't, I know your loving and beloved Dad is petting you loads for me ;).

And what a nice story of you and your Dad meeting and you adopting him! You both knew you needed each other. He took you to the vet and then nursed you back to good health after you were found to be so sick at first. You are a very loving and grateful soul, helping to comfort your Dad in his grief when his dear father, for whom you were named, passed away. You even sleep on Dad tucked under his chin! What a delightful love-filled home you share!

That is such an inspiring story of love and Ralphie and his Guardian are so blessed to be there at just the right time to be able to help each other out.
It is always good to save a Cat's life , Ralphie reminds me of Joseph Scrapster who I saved as he was eating at a warehouse across the street and I took him in when it got cold out.

Hello Ralphie, it's a pleasure to meet you. What a handsome boy you are! I really like the photo of you with your lion cut; I'm sure it was much more comfy for you in Florida temps. OMG, what an awesome haircut Ralphie had!! I always wondered what went on at the bottom of long, stripy fur. I got say he looks just as brilliant with the haircut as he does with his natural do! I second everything this poster said - this is my favorite kind of story on the Cat of the Day website. It really warms my heart as a volunteer for too many year for cat rescues - hoping one day there isn't such an overpopulation that we need so many shelters and rescues... I hope you and your dear Ralphie have many many happy healthy years together. Bless you for rescuing him and giving him the loving home all cats deserve.
