Zam was spayed yesterday and she is now recovering well. :)

She was quiet the entire drive home and even got some catnip crinkle pouches from the vet staff. :)

When I went to bed she actually wanted to curl up next to me and sleep and she has left the sutures alone. I'm crossing my fingers that it stays this way. ;) :)

Zam looks so cute with a shaved belly. :D

So glad it all went well! Shiloh advises her not to start messing with those sutures cause that's what she did and you know the consequences of that.... big ugly collar!! Hehehe... opps, Shiloh says it isn't funny.

I caught her last night trying to jump up on the bathroom counter, but the poor thing didn't have any strength in her back legs and she kept falling. :(

Luckily she didn't hurt herself.

I'm so happy the surgery went well. It is so hard to keep them quiet (and stop them from jumping on stuff), I know the feeling. But After Hanna got spayed I had a very bad day/night when I thought she had a hernia from playing. It was only an inflammation of the sutures, but for a whole Sunday, until Monday when I could bring her back to the vet - I was panicked.

Kim,

I'm glad the surgery went well. Believe me, she'll be back on her feet within 24 hours. I've been though spaying (not me PERSONALLY :p of course) 5 times. The vet tells you to keep them quiet for 24 hours. Yeah right!! That's like trying to nail jello to the wall!

This is for Zam from her little boy:

Zam is doing great! It's amazing how wonderful a quiet night of rest is after living with a cat in heat. ;) LOL!

She's healing well and hasn't lost a bit of her spunk.

Donna, Zam sends proud kisses, nuzzles and head bumpies to her little boy. :D
