What a gorgeous boy you were (and are) Romeo, and it is great your girl fell in love with you the minute you met! We are so sorry you were started racing too young and too often, so you ended up with that damage to your coffin bones. We know you are no longer in any pain, but are watching over your girl from the Rainbow Bridge. We know you taught her so very much, and she will carry those lesson forward through the rest of her life. Congratulations, Romeo, it is your big day, and perhaps your star in the heavens will shine a bit brighter tonight. It is your big day, and we know you will live forever in her heart.

What a stunning, magnificent boy you were, are, dear Romeo! Your photos are simply breathtaking!
It breaks my heart, knowingthat you were taken from your lady far before your time.:( Horses are such strong and powerful creatures, yet at the same time, so fragile. I can only imagine how difficult it was for your lady to make that final decision, that courageous, selfless decision. But she did the right thing, not wanting to see her beloved boy suffering and in pain; that is true love. And though you are no longer there with her in the flesh, you live on in her heart, in the cherish memories you two made, in the ashes she keeps by her bedside, and hopefully soon, in the loving words of her soon to be book! What a tribute, one so very worthy of one so special, so loved. You were so much more than a friend, a companion, you were your lady's mentor, her best friend, her 4 legged soul mate, never to be forgotten.

Thanks to your proud lady for sharing your beautiful love story with us, Romeo. It was an honor, having the chance to pay tribute to you and the unbreakable bond that you and your lady share. I hope seeing you being honored here today, reading all of the heartfelt replies, puts a smile on her face and gives her just a bit of comfort. And until that day when you two are together once again, continue to send down your love to her from the Rainbow Bridge. She misses you so very much.

God bless you, beautiful Romeo, Pet of a Lifetime~:love:

I lurk more than reply, but this post caught my eye.

You seem to really be good with horses and there is one on my Facebook Newsfeed that needs a home. There is not a rehoming charge, because they want to find a good home for her. This is the caption under the picture of her.

My mother in law is trying to find a home for Abby. She is 5 years old and a sweetheart just has never been ridden yet. My mother in law had to sell the rest of her horses cause she has to sell her farm, and now Abby is the last one and extremely lonely without her family of horses. She is hoping to give her to someone who will work with her and give her love and attention. If anyone is interested, let me know. She was going to sell her but now she just wants to find her a loving home. And if you do have other horses, that would be great, she is so used to having companions.

She kind of resembles Romeo. I just thought I would tell you about her, because she looked sad without her companions.
