I always want to share pictures of the crew for those that don't see them on FB, but it takes a while on my phone. So, I wanted to share at least one updated photo!

Everyone is doing great. Shenzi is 9 months old and only 39# so far. I lucked out and got my "pocket pit" again! They all love each other and my pack dynamics are back to normal! :love:

Thank you all. Sorry I don't always reply, my phone is so slow on a browser and it gets frustrating. Instead of starting a new thread which takes forever, I'm just going to update this one. It will be a lot quicker for me which means I'll be likely to post more photos!

Shenzi will be a year old on the 23rd. She currently has happy pit bull tail, so you'll see her tail is bandaged. The vets I work with say they've seen it take months to heal especially with how happy/excitable Shenzi is. *yay*

But, that's Shenzi. She is such a love bug. She loves everything, especially destroying toys as you can see by the dog yard. I had a huge collection of toys at one point but ended up having to order some new ones. Jolly balls and Chuck it toys are heaven sent.

Aww, she looks like such a sweetheart! So glad she is doing well, and that her tail, though bandaged, is expected to heal! Yup, I often think whoever invented Kong toys must have had a bully breed or some other dog who loves to chew!

Happy tail is such a pain to deal with, especially with such....happy dogs. My aunt has a pit bull/viszla mix who had ongoing happy tail problems in his youth...he's just such a happy fellow that he couldn't contain himself! ^_^

When I started posting the pictures the other night I had every intention of making a post for the other three as well but got tired. :o

Poor Shenzi, her demodex has also come back. She doesn't really present much but I noticed when I pet her, her skin seems itchy. I did a skin scrape and sure enough, the little buggers are back. I absolutely hate giving her ivermectin or similar treatment. She hated it the first time around. So, I spoke with one of the vets that does Chinese medicine at my work. He came up with a plan to really boost her immune system with natural herbs and bi-weekly medicated baths. He said he's seen great success at the other practice he worked for.

Feeling really sentimental today. Tomorrow is the birthday we gave Simba. He would have been 17. It's also almost one year since I lost Alice. I am so grateful for these pups and how much light they have brought during this long, dark year.
