I love the cat cave and it solved shopping for my granddaughter's cat that she loves so much. What a great idea, the cat tree is a bit pricey as Pom mentioned. I kow she will love the cat cave though.

Very true. Dear, departed Halo was a champion at getting out of hers.
I found Pepper's lying in the floor so many times, I gave up putting one on her since her only time outside is in a fenced in pen (it includes a roof since eagles fly over our house all the time "hunting"). :eek:

The 2 old ladies that are about 12, are no problem, and they never take theirs off. The 3 youngsters who are 9 months old, take them off almost as quick as we put them on them. We gave up for now - maybe when they get a little older................;) We've been lucky and no one has ever escaped - the old girls are afraid of the great outdoors, but I'm not so sure about the others.

Places that I have seen them for sale, you can order the stick figure (man, woman, boy, girl) and whatever and how many of the animals (dog, cat, bird, etc) that you want. I've seen rather large families on some windows - mom/dad/multiple kids/multiple pets!!! :D

It kinda sounds to me like it runs all the time like a regular fountain. From the Etsy listing:


This is a drinking fountain made almost entirely of wood. Other than the wood, there's 7 screws and a water pump. Even the drain is drilled out of the base. I attempted to go for the look of a real drinking fountain, but with the colors peeling off and wood showing from underneath… like it was a phony or something. So I stained the whole thing bluish gray and then sanded off parts of the stain to let the wood come out. The push buttons are wood burned. We went with an epoxy that’s used for waterproofing and finishing the bottom side of wooden boats, so every inch of the fountain is waterproof. The epoxy is tinted slightly black.

*We use a food safe epoxy, which is also used to build aquariums.

Inside the water fountain is the water reservoir and 3 holes for mounting to the wall. It is made up of 3 different pieces that come apart: the sink, base and water fountain nozzle.

Thanks for reminding me. I can't remember seeing Lady and the Tramp but I sure do remember the cats. Even as a kid, I wondered why cats were always portrayed as mean or sneaky in movies and dogs sweet. I really never thought about getting a Meezer until Willy stole my heart. We have definitely become Meezer fans and I know we'll get adopted by another one, one of these days.
