Dearest Echo, what a beautiful Calico lady you are! You are just adorable there with your little tongue sticking out.. have you just eaten a treat? .. and then there's that gorgeous closeup shot of your sweet little face with your two-tone nosie and your lovely pale-green eyes. Your Calico colors are so striking and your fur looks so soft, I wish I could reach down to Texas and pet you! But since I can't, I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you for me ;).

And what a sweet story of you choosing your Purrrson! I'm so glad you and she/he got together, because you now have your Purrrfect home. You are his/her shadow and mood reflector. You both love each other very much, don't you, and have since the very first time she/he looked into your eyes. What a delightful love-filled home you share!

I agree with you - they do choose us. I am so happy that Echo found you and has been safe and loved ever since. My cat Beyli did the same with me when I went to adopt a kitty from a rescue many years ago. So many cats in one room and I really wanted to take them all home - and then when I walked by one of the structures they had for them to perch on (so they would not be all eye to eye) this brown tabby tapped my elbow and I knew. Just for fun though, the volunteer asked me to go sit on the sofa and when I did, this cat (Hector at the time) jumped off his perch and came and sat beside me (and pushed a cat away who was also headed towards me!). Sadly, I lost Beyli in 2009 and miss him so much but I know he would be happy that I took in Caramel and Riley.

I hope you and Echo have a very long and happy, healthy life together.
