Hi, everyone!

We are Verizon fiOS customers, and so since early this morning have been able to reach most of the Internet, but not PetoftheDay.com, Pet Talk or DogoftheDay.com or any other sites we have hosted at 1&1.

Several hours ago, Paul moved PetoftheDay.com to be served through Cloudflare. That is why I can now see things, and post, etc.

Has anyone else been having any trouble? If so, please let us know your service provider (ISP) so we can him inform our providers so they can figure out what is wrong, and fix it!

So has anyone noticed things are faster or slower now? Everything is being served through Cloudflare, so let us know how it is going for you!

I didn't have any problems today at all. But PT seems to be loading more quickly!

That's good to know! We are going to leave the sites as being served through Cloudflare for a week, so if anyone has an issues or notices anything different, do let us know!

We still have Spook from yesterday. To be more specific, we can see the new COTD but all the chat is still on lovely Spook? No biggie, kinks work out....

Your machine must have had the cat cached - I see you were able to see and post about Chester after you posted this!

I have been having a bit of trouble here. I got beautiful Bue here s COTD and well, that yesterdays COTD. Happens to me all the time. Sometimes with POTD, DOTD...etc. Is it my computer, or what. Maybe I should just mellow out, like it's no big deal really. Kinda bugs me a tad though :D

It sound like your computer is caching the previous day's pet - have you tried forcing a reload, or restarting your browser?

PT works a LOT better than FB and I've not had any problems getting on here. You and Paul are doing a great job! :)

I'm still not running on Intel, so I have other problems... like not being to able to view Flash movies, and as of yesterday I have no sound on youtube videos. My screen is dying, too, but I have a spare one - and I got a MacBook, just need the power cord, which I'll get soon.

I keep getting a server error when I try to post. Yesterday and again today.

That is actually part of an Internet-wide series of attacks that is happening - it looks like http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?186716-Funky-error right?

Yahoo got attacked; they got my email. Solved by running antivirus and changing password.

Google did too. I didn't wait around to find out if my account was compromised, and I changed my Google password as soon as I heard about.

Yeah, the hackers are still out there, messing with stuff!

Been getting more error messages again the past couple of days, after not getting any for a long time. Hitting "retry" solves the issue most of the time, but not always.

Anyone else getting this again?????

I am, stupid hackers. It doesn't matter which site I am on - I get them from time to time, and last night at one point every other time I tried to load a page it happened, even on major new sites.

I got the error you posted in #22, Karen. I got get on the index page, but when I went to Today's posts, I got the error. Seems to be working fine now.

I am now on a MacBook, just got the wifi sorted out. On the old machine, I had no problems with any errors.

And just like before, the only place I get it is here on PT. I admit that I don't visit a lot of different sites, but I would think I would run across the problem somewhere other than just here. Very odd........:(

I am getting error messages everytime I go to PT. When I do retry then it disappears.

I am, too. Sometimes I have to click on the retry box 3-4 times to get the page to load.

I am getting those "Error 520: Web site is offline" screens nearly every time just with this session, and I have to keep hitting the "Retry for a live version" buttons to get the actual pages.

So several days ago, we shut off Cloudflare for the PetoftheDay.com site and Pet Talk. I have not gotten the error since, has anyone else?

I have not gotten the error since, either. I looked up Cloud Flare on the internet and saw security mentioned- will not having it pose a security problem for PT?

No, we had moved it to go through Cloud Flare just because it was supposed to be faster!

Karen, did you switch the Cloud Flare back on? I have gotten a banner at the top of my screen, last night and today, saying I'm being redirected to a different section of the site. The "retry for a live version" button is on the top left of the banner, and when I clicked on it, I was redirected to where I wanted to be (most recently today's Cat of the Day). It's no problem, but I just thought you should know.

Thanks,
Elyse

I've gotten several of "problem loading page" and "connection was reset" the past few days, but not the one from Cloud. And again - PT is the only place I get it.
