Norman, a/k/a Stormin' Norman, was a cool cat. He was always there, was mellow and laid back. Even the HS shop is named after him - Norm's Nook.
This decision was an absolute last resort. Norman had even been peeing in the wrong places for much of the past year, but everyone cleaned up after him.
Norman arrived at the shelter in 1998 as part of a round-up of feral cats in the Cochrane area. He wasn't very feral - and he moved in!
Norman, hugs, and may you play forever at the Bridge, happy and whole.:love:

I am so very sorry. Rest in peace, darling Norman. What a handsome fellow you are!
You have lived a fine life and made many friends who love you dearly and helped many other kitties find Furrrever homes. You are a glorious Angel now, whole and healthy again and awaiting the grand reunion to come, One Fine Day..
Deepest sympathy to you, Candace, and all who love him and grieve him.

Norman, you have spread joy for many years in the Cochrane & area shelter, and now you need a rest. It's sad for the staff and everyone who loved you that it was time to go, they will miss you very much.
Rest in peace, dear Noman - and send them a sign that you have arrived to the RB safely. :)

The humans you've left behind, Norman, are unutterably sad that you have gone, but they know that they are sad for themselves, not for you; you have no need of tears, being gloriously alive, perfectly healthy, and blissfully happy! Parting is always so very painful for us humans, Norman, but we are glad that you are enjoying the greatest life you've ever known - waiting happily at the Bridge for those who love you to join you - one fine day.

That is so sad as Norman was a Cat who was so loved by so many different people and as a shelter Cat inspired adoptions of his fellow Cats who needed a Furr Ever Home badly.
Norman has had quite a good reception on the Rainbow Bridge nad with his Wings of Silver and Gold will be a positive force in our Awesome Angels Army.
He will have so many people to meet and greet .
One Fine Day:love:
