RIP Ashes 2001-2013

Ashes was a sweet cat. Real loving and he was a one of a kind cat. He have been well minus a urinary tract issue for 12 years and this week he went down and went down fast. We took him to the vets and he diagnosed him as having leukemia. He wasn't 100% sure, but the signs were there, and Ashes was really anemic. We couldn't see or afford the money to put him through the treatment only, to lose him in 3-4 weeks time so we decided to have him euthanized.

We miss him like crazy, but I know in my heart, my brother made the right decision. We are having him privately cremated and will have his Ashes 7-10 days.


Here is a picture of Ashes. He will be forever loved and missed. And both myself and my family want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers and we still need them.

Ashes you are an Angel now and have led a good life with people who loved you.
It is sad that you are gone , but you are an Awesome Angel now, and maybe one day in your honor another Cat or Kitten who needs a good home will find the love that you had.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy. I know in my heart my brother made the right decision, but the pain of losing him is still there. He had the good life, and although my mom says no more once Peaches and Alison pass away, I don't want it to be over, sure it hurts when they pass on, but the joy of getting to know them is worth it. I love you Ashes, you play along at the rainbow bridge with Tigger and all the other animals till that one fine day where we will meet again.

Thanks everyone. We got his ashes tonight so now he is at home. I miss Ashes a lot. Some days I don't cry and some days like today I do.
