Sad news in the tree world....

In the Fisher living room, an unknown attacker scaled the tree. Sources say the culprit is grey 'n white and about 5.4 pounds. Investigators aren't releasing any names, but they do have a lead.

Witnesses report that the attacker ran full tilt up the (then) swaying tree and proceeded torment a family of three. In an attempt to protect his family, Mr. Orna Mentball took the brunt of the attack and sustained multiple injuries. While his wife and child remain shaken up but unharmed, Mr. Mentball is in critical condition at Sew Me University. Dr. Mom Fisher, the head caretaker at Sew Me U, refused to comment on the situation.

It is unknown whether or not the Mentball family had previous entanglements with the attacker.

What kind of world is this, where innocent decorations are terrorized by cats with their own tree-bashing agendas? I hope we never have to see this kind of carnage again........ (but since it's not even Christmas yet, I'm sure we will :D :D :D )

Do you have any ideas whether it might have been the same terroristic group that is guilty for the attack at the mini-blinds??

(BTW: ROFL)

The poor Mentball family!! How sad to have something like this happen during the holiday season. They must be very broken up over the whole ordeal.

Hope the culpcat (culprit?) is found soon and punished accordingly.

Oh Hang on a minute - has anyone spoken to the alleged attacker - maybe this said 'attacker' is in fact working for the
FMS - (Free Mentball Society), yes it could be a rescue which went horribly wrong!

I am sure the attacker.. if caught... will be represented by the famous lawyer.. Mr. Super.cute.face and will be released without charge...;) Sorry to hear of the tragedy in the Mentball family hopefully they will be torched to the tree next year as that seems to be the only way in keeping them suckers on...

With heavy heart, I report that Mr. Orna Mentball passed away. Dr.s at Sew Me U attempted to save his life but alas, it was not what the Great Tree Angel had in store.

The suspect--a grey/white female kitten-- is now in a local porta-prison because...well, the door was open and she walked in. (I didn't put it up after yesterdays vet appointment--she's ok, just her last booster!)Though there has not been an official statement, word at the litterbox says the suspect is not talking, the cat's got her tongue.

Mrs. Mentball and her child appear to be "hanging in there." Her comments on the situation: "What tragedy! What timing! I'm staying strong but it's hard when Jr. keeps ASPEN where his FIRther is! Despite our hardship, I wish everyone the best holiday season -- may Christmas be evergreen in you heart."

And speaking of hearts... sources say Mrs. Mentball is not pining away after her late husband... quite the opposite! It seems that Mrs. Mentball has surrounded herself with Mr. Gar Land's presence.....

Stay Tuned for the Continuing Saga! ;)

I'm sorry to hear of Mr. Ment's passing. Would Mrs. Ment like one of the bubbling 'ments' to soak her feet in after the wake? :D

Now is it possible that Mrs. Mentball assisted in this attack by shoving Mr. Mentball in the path of the attacker? I heard that she always did call him an Odd (Ment)ball.

And why is she eating popcorn off the tree with Mr. Gar Land? Didn't take her long to recover from her loss.

Yeah, that Mr. Gar Land - all flash and no substance. But Mrs. Mentball fell for his "sparkling" wit, and promises to take her to Tinseltown..........

I remember years ago when I was young , Smokey the Cat knocked over our Christmastree.:( we thought that my mother would be upset as along with the tree several oranaments , handed down toher and irrreplaceable ones at that were destroyed.:( But my mother was more concerned about the cats safety and simply said that it was the nature of a young cat to climb and he certyainly did not mean to do the damage. :( I have always remembered that night and have kept it in mind when the cats have knocked something over or have done something that I dont like , its in thier nature and thy must be forgiven.:D :D :D

**NEWSFLASH**

Disgruntled housewife, Mini Star charged with consipiracy to murder!

The dazzling Mr. Gar Land now lies in the bottom of the garbage can -- shining now for only the potatoe peelings and empty cream-of-mushroom soup cans. And just how did this all come about?

"Oh that Gar, he ALWAYS had a thing for the ladies... had them wrapped around his conniving body! Oh yes, a regular little pervert--why he'd sometimes sneak a peak at the ladies slipping on their christmas stockings!" commented Peaceonna Earth, the mother of Orna Mentball. "Now, I don't mean to tell tales but that Gar... ohhh... he had it out for Orna's wife. And, to tell you the truth, I do believe Orna's marriage grew dim b/c of that Gar. And that pooorrr Mini Star. I don't know how she stood her hubby's string of lies. It's no wonder that Mini hired a hitcat!"

That's right. A hitcat. A hitcat with no heart. Mr. Gar Land was shredded. According to Peaceonna, "It looked like one of those medieval racks were used... it was horrible! Just bits and pieces of Gar Land EVERYWHERE!"

At this time, Mini Star is in the interrogation process. Sources say she is acting extremely catty and uncooperative.

Mini Star-Land's children were picked up by Rub Berm Aid, assistant manager of Attic Storage, Inc. as well as mentor for the Upward Bound program. Mr. Aid declined to comment on the specifics of the Star-Land children, though he did state, "Their closeness is remarkable; hasn't diminished a bit. All are bright, wishful, and shooting for that moment they may be rejoined with their mother. I do not foresee any cause that the Stars will fall."

Details on the actual hitcat are vague. Sources believe there is a connection to the culpcat in the Orna Mentball case. However, that link has not yet been proven.

Oh my!  Sounds like the whole sordid tail is really quite a mess. Hopefully the purrlice (police) will get everything straightened out and poor Ms Star-land will be reunited with her children so they can mourn the death of their father. It sounds like the culpcat is very sneaky, and knows enough to leave no evidence. And even though Gar Land may have been a ladies man, that is still such a horrible way to die....all torn up in pieces....horrible......

:D :)

Oh, and any chance there are pictures of the crime scene so we can get the best detectives working on it?
