Tibby is the same way. Usually after I go shopping I'm lazy and leave my bags on the ground. Then in the middle of the night I hear Tibby playing with them and I have to get out of bed and put them away. You'd think I've learned my lesson by now, but I guess I'm a slow learner.
So does my Inka !! No bag is safe for her ... . Her favorites are those plastic supermarket-bags ...

My guys used to like bags when they were kittens, now they could care less about them (unless you shake the bag, then they run for the hills!)

whenever I unload groceries from my truck on to the backdoor, I have to shut my furkids inside the house, because they will begin to dig into any meat or dairy products. Also, they instinctively know when I have purchased anything for them, whether it is food (which it usually is, because I buy them something whenever I go to the store whether they need it or not) or toys, or whatever. But , if I leave the paper bags out for any reason, they begin playing with them making a lot of noise. they don't seem to be turned on with the plastic bags, only the paper ones.:)

Our cats too! They know that one of the bags always contains TURKEY! Its almost a game to see who can find it faster...us or them! :)

Bastet bless her socks LOVES shopping bags! Especially the variety that can cause a serious death issue. She likes to get into them, eat them and sit on them. I think its the crunchy noise they make.
I have to put the shopping away immediately and the bags in the bag dispenser or else I end up having bags being dragged from one end of the house to the other. She gets really upset with me though.
Oh well such is a kitty's life!

This picture was so funny because the bad was really small and he kept trying to get IN it. This picture is after he gave up and just laid on it. :D

Kelly, what a cute pic. My cats love paper bags. I think they like the noise that they make. :)

OK I may be called a nervous ninny but I will NOT let my furkids play with the palstics bags. Too much danger of them trapping themselves with no air. Paper bag are such safe fun.
I put a bag on the floor and then put my toe under the closed end and make scratching noises. One of them will dive headlong into the bag. Now remember that my Lamoni weighs 18 pounds!

Jordy loves to sleep on plastic bags. :) He doesn't usually play with them, but when he sees one on the floor, it's time for a nap. :D

My cat Mau, who is a 7 year old 15 pound Siamese male, was playing with a paper shopping bag just before Christmas (the kind with handles). Unfortunately, he managed to get one of the handles around his neck and when he tried to walk away, the bag dragged behind him, making terribly loud and alarming noises. Poor Mau panicked and ran wildly around the house, my husband and I screaming and flapping in his wake (when will we learn to keep our MOUTHS SHUT!!??). Finally the paper handle tore off as Mau squeezed between an armchair and the wall and he was FREE! Now he runs like a stripe-tailed ape whenever he sees or hears a bag. NOBODY gets to play with plastic bags EVER. Happy New Year!

Hey Kittykay that happened to my Zeke too! But more than once! He didn't learn! He got a paper bag stuck (with the "chord-like" handle) around his neck once. I've nver seen him run so fast, darting here and there. He stopped under the bed, which amazingly is when the bag stopped making noise. I had a hard time getting him out from under, it's a king sized bed!
Then that happened AGAIN with a plastic bag! And one other time with someo other bag I just can't remember which. I just know it happened at least 3 times and all 3 times it ended with me crying :( and laughing :( and trying to get him out from under the bed.... I'm afraid he's going to run in sheer terror like that until he has a heart attack!! :(
