The other day, I was sick in bed with the flu. I accidentally dropped my tissue on the floor, so I was bending over to pick it up. At the exact same time, Baby was poised to jump onto the bed. So, as my head emerged over the mattress, and as Baby took off to jump, she collided head on with my already sore nose. I don't know if any of you have noticed, but cats have very hard heads! I was in agony! My eyes were watering and my nose was swollen for two days! She looked a little confused, but was none worse for the wear. I am just glad that my nose wasn't broken, because that would have been a very embarassing story to tell the hospital!

not a cat story but....

my brother happened to trip over the dog's chain, split his head open and went for stitches.....when he came home he marched right back to the dog to show his stitched up injury, he then told the dog that he wouldn't fall for that trick again.

as he turned around the dog ran up beside him and cut him off. the second set of stitches went in right next to the first set which were about 2 hours old.....

we found out that my brother's head is pretty hard....

Like Richard's post, this isn't a cat story, but a "hard-head" tale nonetheless...

Until I had my first baby, a girl, last Sept. 2001, I never realized that baby skulls can pack a lot of force....! My story is almost similar to ToughCookie's; I was getting up from bed when my sweetie pie (about 9 months at the time), who was playing in the same bed, decided that she wanted to head-butt Mommy at that exact same moment (she may be part cat!). The result, as they say in the comic books, is "Pow!" when her massive forehead collided with my upper lip. My own child gave me a fat lip! I had to explain to people later that day that my husband is not a wife beater, and that they should steer clear of my baby's forehead if they know what's good for them!

she decided to straighten up the legs.....
her head, my chin.......bit a huge hole in my tongue
and don't you know you want the saltiest food
