It is a real joy for me to introduce you to my new baby girl, Nina.

She was living on the basement of the building I work on, on the parking area. The guards let her live there and fed her with leftovers, but when I met her -about a month and a half ago- I started feeding her every day with cat food and yummy tuna, so every morning she was waiting for me and before leaving we started spending time together, she was so sweet and loving!

One day she made me cry: I went to put food on her bowl and she grabbed my feet and started to purr as if she was saying “thank you” with a beautiful smile and when I tried to stand up and walk she wouldn’t let me, as if she was saying “don’t leave” and didn’t care about the food, she only wanted me to stay with her and pet her, she was so skinny and dirty but needed love more than food! I cried my heart out on the way home. I decided to rescue her and two days later I did.
I was worried thinking it would be hard to catch her, since she looked so free… but I didn’t have to do anything: she walked into the carrier by her own will! I couldn’t believe my eyes!

I took her to the v-e-t and he was amazed to see her in such good shape, he told me she’s about 2 years old. She stayed there for a week (because I had to travel and they took care of her meanwhile), and she is now clean, healthy and looking gorgeous.

Today I found out they where going to PTS her on the very next day I rescued her :(
Thank God she has a home now, living on the garage while Sophie gets used to her.

She is so sweet, loving and thankful. I’m crazy about her!
Here are some pictures, enjoy…

Congrats!!!:D She's adorable and she sure doesn't look 2 years old. She still looks small enough to be a kitten. I hope that eventually she and Sophie will learn to get along. Good luck.:)

Wow, what a beauty she is! Congratulations on the new addition to your family, although it sounds like she`s had a special place in your heart for quite some time now! :D And THANK GOODNESS you rescued her just before she would have been PTS! It sounds like the two of you were meant to have that special bond; especially when she just walked right into the carrier with no objection or hesitation. She is such a pretty girl, astrid! Also, glad to hear that when she went to the v-word she was nice and healthy. Best of luck to both of you!

On behalf of Nina, thank you for all your nice comments :)

She has been a sweet, shy girl, one can tell she's happy because she's been purring and smiling, enjoying her new home.

Sophie on the other hand, is not exactly happy... she has seen Nina from a window and starts yelling and hissing at her :( Nina has been with other cats and has no problem, but gets scared when she hears the hissing... I guess it's gonna take some time for Sophie to get used to her new little sis, especially since she has been only child all her life.

But the garage is roomy, so I made a little "loft" for Nina there :D and she is enjoying it. She is a happy kitty now :)

I am wondering how Nina is doing in her new home, and how she and Sophie are getting along :) I love the picture of her having fun with her Canadian catnip mouse!

What a beauty Nina is. She does have the same gorgeous colors as my Angel girl only Nina has more white. Beauties both of them!!! ;) After Sophie gets used to seein Nina and smelling her on you, she might surprise you. When I brought Grandma inside I was expecting world war III. But she had been hanging around outside so long the cats were used to her. When she came in, they all looked at her like: "Oh, it's only you". After a round of mild hisses they were all find together.

Nina sure knew how to plead her case didn't she? Who could resist a kitty who wanted to come with you so desparately? Not me!!! :D

Welcome home Nina!!!
