My mornings are wonderful now that I have my two little love bugs snuggling with me. :)

Noah always seems to know what time I need to get up at...despite my "push the snooz button 100 times", he patiently lays his head on me until its time for me to get up. This morning, I woke up late, but under the spell of my kitties, I didn't want to get up. :) Noah, apparently wanted me up and in the shower because he began his "grooming mommy's hair and face" routine.

Do your cats know when you wake up and come for loving? Not for food, but do they know your routine and WHEN you need to get up for work? How do they get you up?

Tibby knows I wake up every morning at 10 am, because I either have school or work. About 5 minutes before my alarm goes off Tibby starts walking on my head.

Filou comes with my husband and the tea (I am lucky:D ) and starts to walk over me and guve headbumpies. When I finally decide to get up and have a shower he follows me to the bathroom , jumps on my shoulder and continues the headbumpie/nosekissie program!
When I have to get up earlier for some reason, he is out of his time schedule and I have to do the work all on my own:(

My aby hears me rustling around when I get up and then he starts crying for me at the door cause he knows I'm awake. And then he follows me into the bathroom (gross fact: he likes to sit on my lap when I go to the bathroom) My other guys could't care less. I usually find them sleeping on the recliner when I wake up.

All three of my girls come sleep with me around 8am, whether I need to get up or not. If I have to get up, they lay there until I go downstairs and then they come have fishies. If I stay in bed, they just sleep with me. Tilly doesn't always stay - I think she gets too hot. If she does, she either goes downstairs and sleeps or onto my desk chair, which is at the end of my bed. It's cool because they always lay in the same spots too.. Nutmeg right up by the pillows, Bassett on my left side (if I'm laying on my back.. she always is on that side of the bed) and Tilly on me or on my right (again, if I'm on my back).

Most of my cats sleep with me- so, when I wake up, there is usually a cat or two in the bed. Usually, Tenny and Dakky come on over, to encourage me to get out of bed. Allie darts for the bathroom as soon as my feet hit the floor, and it is a contest not to shut her in the door as I close it. Tenny will lay with me until I get up. Tex does the interloper bit...to and fro, to and fro, the bed to the kitchen, the bed to the kitchen..I guess he thinks if he repeats the process enough times, I will follow in his tracks. Georgia just doesn't care what I do, she will wait patiently. Minnie? Who knows. Maybe she is secretly following me under my bed.

I also keep a very irregular sleep schedule. However, where I am, the cats "am"! (hehe....) If I should dare to try to have a cat-free bed at night .... it never lasts for long. A good example would be, well ... LAST NIGHT! (haha) On the weekends, I generally try to enjoy sleeping with my hubby ... since he works night shift, and Friday and Saturday nights are our only nights to sleep together. Well, someone forgot to give Dexter the memo on this. He proceeded to cry his eyes out, paw incessantly at the door and door handle (he's almost learned to turn it) and dig at the seams of the carpet ... yep, it's frayed as well! Anyway, to make a loooooooong night's story short and sweet ... Dexter and then all the others, eventually weasled their way into our bed. Oh well, we keep good and warm in the winter time! HEHE!

;)

This is Dexter .... but he's not poutin'! hehe

I have noticed that getting up time is beginning to become routine around here. Sometimes, like this morning, Prince will walk up around my head and begin to chew on my hair. By this time Fawn and a few of the others are already playing chase around the entire house, and Tiger is pacing back and forth across the bed. If I get up a 05:00 that is late for me. Usually they begin their antics about 4:30 , or when I first wake up. I usually feed my furkids before I do much of anything, first.

Dexter says, "Memo? What memo? I never got no memo!!!"
While Dexter may be left out in the memo department, he sure has it going on in the MANIPULATION department...he he he...

Oh, Juni sleeps with all of us, but in the morning she comes to me for cuddle. She's a lovebug in the mornings. Sometimes she sleeps on my head, and I sleep until 8:55. Have to be in the office at 9
Sometimes she wakes me up with a toy and likes to fetch for hours, or play with me "The Squirrel" (I saw somewhere a picture of Tinky playing that game).

My cat Mau tries to hypnotize me in the morning. He DOESN'T want me to get up and go to work, so he will look at me and I will look back at him. He begins to go all fuzzy around the edges and soon all I can see are his huge glowing eyes. I feel overwhelmingly sleepy and before I know it, it's 10:00 a.m. My boss does not believe this but I KNOW it's true.

Jorsy sleeps by or on my feet, and Zeke sleeps near my head. But even if Zeke isn't on the bed, he KNOWS when ever I rool over onto my back, and he's on my chest in a heartbeat looking for love. But I push him off. When it's time to wake up, he doesn't take no for an answer and continues to jump on my chest and/or back and/or head. Jordy just wishes I would turn OFF the alarm so he can keep sleeping. :)

Zeke likes to sit on my lap while I go to the bathroom too... LOL He kneeds my chest and kisses my face. He practically tries to climb into my nasal passages trying to give me a good kiss.

After I get out of the shower, Jordy CAN'T WAIT to jump on my shoulders and rub his face in my wet hair. I guess he's trying to wash his face? On my clean hair?? EWWWW! But I wouldn't tell anyone, besides no one can tell anyway. :) It's not like my hair gets dirty from him rubbing on it. :)

Emily used to promptly wake me up at 6AM every morning by crawling up on my upper chest and throat (she weighs about 11 lbs). Needless to say that was a VERY effective method for getting my attention :D :D

I have recently gotten a new addition to my little home (a tabby kitten). The kitten now wakes me up instead by licking my nose (and eyes) and sticking his paw in my eye (no claws). I must admit that between the two, I almost prefer Emily's wake up call. There is nothing quite like kitty tongue on your face to wake a person up (or maybe it is the kitty breathe??) :D :D
