Huney, sweet girl

Anna_66's beloved Huney has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. She is grief-stricken, and posted it on Facebook, but I thought I would let people here know as well.

From yesterday:

It is with a very heavy heart we say goodbye to our Huney girl. She was taken in for surgery on her acl. It all went fine. Then on Thursday she seized because of a blood clot in her lung. Her heart quit, but they were able to get it going again. But her heart just wasn't strong enough. She died around 8pm last night.
Mark Adkins got to see her around 3:30. Oh sweet girl we will miss you terribly.

We remember when she first wandered into Mark and Anna's yard, as if she knew from the start that was where she belonged! Anyone who ever saw them at Findlay knew how much Huney was Anna's dog - whenever Anna left the dog enclosure, Huney would stop playing with other dogs, and sit glued to the fence, her nose pointing directly at wherever Anna had gone. It was very cute!

Oh Anna.....how terribly tragic news. I saw this on FB and had to come over here to post. I'm so very sorry for your loss and I remember when I met Huney at Findlay a few years ago. I can only imagine how heart sick you both must be. Know that your friends surround you and I know that Phred welcomed Huney across the bridge and is showing her around.

Huney was also a favorite of the boys at the Findlay Dog Park, with that gorgeous fluffy tail of hers. I'm going to miss her. Again, I'm so sorry Anna and Mark. It really is not fair. :( :(

I have no idea what to say. I am so sorry about Huney. Just can't believe she is gone. It seems our Dog Park pups are leaving us one by one way too soon. Huney was such a beautiful girl inside and out. In my head, I know they are all getting older and many of them are at that age that they will go but it just seems too soon. Dazzi is having serious sugery today and I worry a lot about if she will come through it and how long she will live after it. But the only choice was to give her a few days to maybe a month or do the surgery and maybe give her more time.

The dog park gatherings will not be the same without Huney. What will Spotty do? With both Keegan and Huney gone, he will be lost without his favorite red-furred girls.

Our prayers will be with you both.

I haven't been able to bring myself here to post until now, but thank you all for your sweet, loving and kind words. The pictures they are wonderful and truly do make me smile.

I go through spurts of happiness and sadness which of course is expected. She was such a big part of my life. She was mommy's girl and always there in my way ;) Oh what I wouldn't give for her to be in my way again. She was my bed buddy, always waiting for me to come to bed and always there with a wag on her tail. All it would take for that tail to wag was to look at her. We could tell she was happy to have her home with us. Not until the last year or two did she finally feel comfortable enough to actually sleep without keeping one eye open.

She was such a pretty girl, I always loved seeing photos of her at the dog park gatherings.
She was one of my favorite Pet Talk dogs, I know she was a special part of your family and she will be greatly missed.
It was nice to read the story of how you first found her, thank you for sharing that with us.

I feel like my grief for Bon has overshadowed Huney's passing. I loved that girl so much. She was always so sweet.

Anna- I know exactly how you feel. I tell myself the grief has just become one big circle, no beginning and no end, and that ALL the pain is indistinguishable from any specific event.
