Well Ruby is a lab Retriver and is black she 7 months old and is cheeky I'm her mommy and my best friend kay is her 2nd mommy (sorry don't know how to send pics tell me!)

Yes, labs and retreivers are very good dogs! Cincy'smom, my sister, has two lab mixes that are just wonderful animals. A few other breeds are this great too, but that's definately two of the most known for their gentleness. Brian's mother also just had to put down an awesome golden lab about 2 months ago that was a great dog to have around. So, I agree with you that they are very good dogs! But, they're not the only cool breed, LOL!
