In case yor're wondering What's Up with Sara...
Tonya sent this note...
"... our boxer, Sara, goes in for an 'exploration' Monday morning. Don't know if it's rightly classified as exploratory 'sir jury' or not, but she's being sedated and havin' her bladder/female parts checked out.
She's been on meds for a leaky bladder and bladder/"female" infections for quite sometime. Her symptoms seem to clear up and then come right back.
Please say a quick prayer for her, too.
Thank you! /s/ Tonua"
Hope we hear a positive report soon!
She may still be onna *buzz* frumma Laffin Gass.
We'll keep da Pawz, Klawz, Tailz, an Finnerz all crossed.
Hope ya feel better reel Quick, Sara! :D

Here's the diagnosis:
The vet didn't find anything (such as stones, etc.) that could be causing the 'leaky bladder.' She's only 3, so age isn't the issue. He really doesn't know what's causing it (possibly a loose sphincter muscle).
The vaginitis is caused by the (almost constant) drip of urine.
She's on some different meds in addition to her "regular" ones, to see if anything improves. Looks like she'll be on Rx-stuff the rest of her life.
ALSO... the vet vaporized a suspicious wart/mole on her toe and cut out an oil gland cyst on her back. The cyst wasn't very big and wasn't harmful, but it was growing down instead of up--and it would've eventually caused problems.
She was definitely glad to be home! Though she slept pretty much the whole evening, she did wake up long enough to play a game of tag with K'Cee! :)
*crosses fingers*
Hopefully, she'll be a good girl and leave her stitches alone!!!

Thanks for the report. We were wondering. Doesn't sound too bad yet these chronic situations are a trial.

Glad to hear that Sara is going to be ok.. I had a dog who had a weak sphincter muscle that caused her bladder to be incontinent at times - she was put on a hormone and it stopped within a couple of days (she was older/spayed).

Thanks for the update Tonya. I'm so happy to hear it was nothing to serious. My Cody is on medic. (Proin 50) for the leaks. It's quite a common condition is spayed females. My girl's had it since she was 1. Still, Sara has been through a lot!! Please give her a get well hug from here.:)

Hope it can be controlled by the meds! Good luck!
I use to have a female dog that leaked when she
got older. I was told by her vet it was caused by
her spay surgery.
Hope the meds do the trick and sending Sarah good thoughts.
