My curly tail lizard spent the first month or two at my house in with a couple of box tortoises. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and the anoles didn't have any problems with them. Unfortunately, I either bought a retarded curly tail, or he's just far too dependant upon his camoflage to know that he should run away when a bigger animal tries to eat him.
So initially he lost a piece of his tail.
Then He lost a piece of his leg. I know the tail will grow back. But will the leg?

I didn't remove him from the tank because I thought he might have just dropped it due to stress of being chased.
After the leg though, I did move him to a tank away from the tortoises. He seems content now, and has a nice, non-threatening environment.

Will it grow back?
Thanks in advance.

No, his leg won't grow back! And his tail will grow back to some degree, but it will never get as long or as pretty as it was before.

Putting anoles, or other little lizards, with anything but other anoles is really not a good idea!
