Poor baby! I sure remember those days!!!! Well, it's for his best ... you just have to tell yourself that ... though it's hard to convince THEM at that age!!! ;)

It always seems to hurt you more than the little ones. I work with someone who has three kids and her hubby can't take them to the doctor because he cant deal with it.

He sure is a cute little guy. :)

Poor Dylan! I remember taking my kids to the doctor when they were that age.
They are always fine until they feel the shot and then cry until you get them out of there to go home.:(
I hope he's feeling better now and that his leg isn't too tender from the shot.
So now that he is a year old is he walking everywhere and climbing on everything?

Did you notice that Jen and Cataholic seem to be racing each other to Pillarhood? I swear they have been posting everywhere!!!

I have been putting off getting a tetanus vacc for .......more than ten years! i also was supposed to get some diptheria one in high school and i ditched that one too!! :D few years ago i mangled a toe and had to go to the ER to get it 'fixed' and they asked me if i needed a tetanus shot, of course I lied and said NO!!!!.
HEh, yes i know i am gonna get lock jaw and start foaming at the mouth *G*

My son's name is Dylan, also. And he didn't like shots much either as a baby. ;) Of course, now that he is eleven, and "macho", he says they don't hurt at all.

What's it like to have a son? Must be cool! I haven't been to my doctor for hmm..*cough* reasons. I don't like doctors. My mom makes me go to this weird doctor and there are all like 6 year olds and it is really scary and she wants to bring me to other doctors but I want a doctor that doesn't make you wear those gowns with nothin under them... But anyway Plus it is all hot and stuffy at the doctors.I can't stand it. Well enough about me!:)

I think we are distant twins- except she is, like, WAY older than me :D . I think she will hit it first....and I will 'let' her!!! Ha ha ha..don't tell her I posted this, she might get mad at me...

Luckies4me,

Boy does THAT bring back memories!! I can't believe my kid is going to be 27 in March

Dylan is a cute little boy! I love little kids. I have so much fun with them cuz I can be a kid myself with them and no one thinks I'm ready for a rubber room.

Ah, but just wait till he turns 2 (bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!). There isn't a parent out there that I know of who didn't go through the terrible 2's.

Rubber room! Ha ha ha aha ahahahah! Check this out:

Crazy? I'm not crazy! I was crazy once. They put me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with rubber rats. Rats! I hate rats! They drive me crazy! Crazy? I'm not crazy. I was crazy once......

Just something I used to say as a child, lol.

As for the terrible twos, he's already having temper tantrums...

LOL! We get asked this question all the time! I beleieve it is from my father. However daddies hair was blond when he was little. The ironic thing, his eyes are blue! Mine are brown and Dans are green. I thought for sure they would be green like daddies, but nope.

Well ok then, hehe. :p

Well Dan and I bought him a stuffed lion cub by Little Vet Hospital. It's a yellow and orange lion cub stuffed animal that has stitches on his arm. Then we also bought him a video of Kipper the Dog that has a bunch of animals in it. It's a cartoon doggy who is really cute and has a nifty little accent. I think reading to your child is very important so we also got him two books. One is a Holiday Cheerios book that you can add cheerios to. For instance, Rudolf is missing his nose so you would put a cheerio there. It's cute. And no it's not the free ones in the cereal, lol! Then I also got him a Picture Me Under the Christmas Tree book. You add his picture to the book and it shows him dressed up in all different types of costumes, like a snowman, a reindeer etc. Very cute! And of course we got him a cute cake and a number one candle. We got him a Clifford the Big Red Dog balloon too because he loveeees balloons!

Then he got a $60 dollar Tommy Hillfiger jacket fom Dans mom! WOW! That is a lot of money for a jacket that he will wear for only a few months, but I thought it was so cool. My parents could not come to the birthday party because they are in California but they are sending him a present next week. :)

This is Dylan eating his birthday cake. He got it eveywhere!

Then he got a cute little electronic puppy dog that lights up and plays music. You can connect the dog to it's puppy and pull them around the house. He also got a cute little car that makes noise when you push it. It also plays music and makes animal sounds when you push the cat, pig or dog. He also got a leap frog learning thingy that teaches him his ABC's and the sounds of letters, and also things that start with those letters. It plays music too.

And then he got a cute frog with a baby frog that is made for the bath. It's sooooooo cute! OOh I love hairless rats. My doe is keeping my neck warm, hehe. Sorry just had to say something as she is sitting on my shoulder. :p

He got some more clothes too. A cute little sweatshirt outfit with pants the sweatshirt, and a cute onesie. Then he also got another outfit with Winnie the Pooh and Tigger on it, playing basketball. And of course he got money from a few people and also a gift certificate that we can use any place in the mall! We are going to buy him some shoes. :)

I think that is all he got. Oh yes and a cute little rocking horse. I will take a picture of all his presents and then post. I am such a picture hound! I take pictures of everything! But it's good because he will be able to see how he grew up and how much love he recieved from us and his family.

Dylan finally got his package in the mail frm my mom and stepdad! He got a cute Christmas teddy bear, three T-shirts to wear under clothes to keep him warm in the winter and lots of socks. All things we NEEDED! I love to get things we need, it makes it so much easier.

I think it will snow again this year and extra socks and tees are great at keeping him nice and toasty.

Hopefully today we will go get his B-day party pictures developed and then I will be able to post more clear pictures of him opening his presents etc. :D
