This week's rescue dog is...

Louie!!

Louie, a 9 week old Apricot Poodle, born to a Toy but will probably be the size of a small Mini. Louie is a special little guy. His knee cap did not fully develop so his knee may allways be a little weak. It in no way hinders his getting around. He is quite a little spitfire and my vet says the best thing for his knee is just exercise and it should strengthen. He is located in Moscow Mills, MO. Oh My Gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the spitting image of my Pumpkin (RB) when he was a puppy. Pumpkin also had a knee problem and wound up having surgery to fix it (the vet placed a pin) and it too didn't hinder him one bit. Oh if this little one was ANYWHERE near NJ he would have a home for sure! Oh Aly, I know your knees are weak too. Just precious!!!! Oh what cuteness! Please keep this thread updated. I must know how this turns out!

I am so glad there are so many people interested in this little guy! Apparently, the shelter where he is located is expecting many applications. I will leave this thread up until we hear what becomes of this beautiful pup!! :D

I showed his picture to the woman I know whose family members (either mom or sister) might be perfect for him. The "No shipping" though, presents a hurdle for some folks I know who might otherwise snatch him up, but she is going to talk to her family. I bet he'll get a home very quickly in any case!

I realize that it states No Shipping...but doesn't that just mean that they will not incur the expense????
I don't believe that they would stop someone from driving/flying down to get him and drive/fly him home......am i reading this correctly????

He's too far away and I have way too many dogs to take another one, but sure hope someone is lucky enough to take him home.

I haven't heard anything about him. I've been inquiring, but my guess would be that they have been flooded with requests - I promise to leave his posting up here (I'll go ahead and post other dogs of the week for adoption) until someone gets word of who gets this little boy!! :)

Well, it finally happened!! Louie has been adopted!! Yea!! They didn't give me any details as far as who he was adopted to, and I respect that. It's classified information, anyway. I just know that this sweetie finally found a loving home, and he doesn't have to live at a shelter anymore! If anyone here has claimed the darling... speak up!! :D
