This is hard to digest; and first I thought it's a perverted, cruel thing to do...
But I understand the intention behind it, he's giving these poor dogs a face, giving them a little bit of their dignity back... And making people to look into their eyes is a silent accusation, it is as if these poor doomed souls are saying 'look what your species is doing to me..."

I don't know if I'm loathing that photographer's cold professionality, or if I'm admiring him for having the heart to do that. I know I wouldn't have it. Even looking at that these pictures brings tears to my eyes. I'm disgusted by mankind, and by the suffering they bring to the creatures of the Earth... :(

Karen, if you think this is too offensive, please move it to the Dog House...

I did move it to The Dog House, but hopefully this man will help end the plight of so many dogs. A couple of them look like they might be Tu Gou or mixes, and that's the Taiwanese native dog. Thank goodness Mimi Jiang (http://DogoftheDay.com/archive/2012/July/01.html) was adopted, and maybe more people will do the same if this photographer succeeds in getting the word out.

It is absolutely NOT a job I could do. I know that about myself.

Interesting subject for photography. It's sad indeed but death is not the worst thing for an animal living a sub par life
