I am looking foward to the Baseball All-Star game.
I am not the baseball fan I was, it seems like the players have upstaged the game in the recent years.
But, I do love the Home Run Derby!!!
It's great to see power and and a nice swing.....did I mention distance?
--------------------
The menu is easy this week. Tubular meat, buns, the fixin's and Red Solo Cups.
Red solo cup, I fill you up
Let's have a party, let's have a party
I love you red solo cup, I lift you up
Proceed to party, proceed to party
Now I've seen you in blue and I've seen you in yellow
But only you, red, will do for this fellow
Cuz you are the Abbot to my Costello
And you are the fruit to my loom
Red solo cup, you're more than just plastic
You're more than amazing you're more than fantastic
And believe me that I'm not the least bit sarcastic
when i look at you and say:
"Red solo cup, you're not just a cup. (No, no, God no!)
You're my, you're my (friend?) friend. (life long!)
Thank you for being my friend

Allright, you two cannot have the bar to yourselves, sorry! I have a contribution - I think since we're in an All Star Baseball mode, we should have that theme for the snacks. I have soft pretzels with a very special mustard dip - y'all in?

Anyone for some 'tater salad and corn?
I'll take whatever's on tap in the red solo cup, as long as there's no arab shiek on the tap.

Oh, speaking of mustard?
I love spicy and bought a small jar of the Chinese hot mustard. I made a stir-fry last night and put a few dabs of it on the edge of the plate near the rice and added the main event.
I got into the eating part of the program and forgot about the mustard---until the end.
I thought, "What in god's name......"
My sinuses did clear out.:D
I'm in!
LH,
No UFOs (unidentified floating objects) in this bar, only the best on tap......
DONE!

In that case, steer clear of the Chinese hot oil. Years ago, a housemate thought when it called from two drops, it must have meant two teaspoons - and the shrimp scampi was so hot even the steam made my eyes water. I could not taste any of the food, just HOT!

I love spicy but not HOT.

I went to a Mongolian BBQ eatery - you pick out your food, season it and hand it to a cook who grills it on a giant grill....
I made the mistake of trying fish sauce......too much fish sauce.....

Fish sauce is very salty on its own!
Of course, if you mix it with some chili paste, garlic and lime juice you get something quite nice!
Richard went to all of this trouble to open the bar - cleaned it up a bit - brought all of these lovely red Solo cups - I guess the least I can do is stop by - and support him with an order for something in a large red
cup.
Hmmm, let's see - how about a cold lemonade with some raspberry vodka........and some real lemon slices.
I brought some sandwiches - chicken with lettuce and tomato and mayo - tuna with lettuce and mayo -
a few turkey with cheese and tomato too. Help yourself - and there is a large bag of chips too.
Hot enough for all of you???

I guess we have been lucky, most of the serious heat stayed well to our South. Then again, I do live here by choice! :) I'll have a sandwich, thanks Gini!
One funny thing about the red Solo cups - Emma Watson, who played Hermoine in the Harry Potter movies came to college in the US - Brown University - and she was surprised to see the red Solo cups at her first college party. She thought they were some standard Hollywood prop for movies, and didn't realize they are real!

Red Solo Cups?? - somehow I always associate them with beer only.
But seeing that's it's so early and I don't like beer anyway, I have some Kahlua Coffee K-cups for the Keurig coffee maker that I'd be willing to share. A fresh cup every time, but not in a red solo cup. Anyone care to join me while I sip while sitting on the front porch, watching the occasional car go by? Could anyone stand that much excitement???:D
Weather has cooled somewhat, but it's definitely still summer and warmer than just warm. Very tolerable compared to what it was.

I'll have to remember that, thanks!
Gini,
A giant red Solo cup filled with lemonade, raspberry vodka and a splash of soda water?
The Gini Fizz!
Done!
Oh man was it hot out here.
109 on the streets the other day...T-storms tomorrow!
I guess a RSC could be considered kinda iconie?
Pom,
RCS are a great ice breaker.
For some reason people will stand there and ask,"What are you drinkng?"
If you ever get the chance, watch people and the way they hold and drink out of them.
It's a fun to see.
