Transport available. This cat was an owner surrender, but he is terrified, so does not show well.

Subject: Pumpkin Needs Some Help Even Though It is Kitten Season - Liberty Humane, Jersey City
Reply-To: Joan Doljan, [email protected]

Hi,
***Feel Free To Cross-Post***

I know it is kitten season, but this is a plea to help Pumpkin. He is not a kitten but really needs your help.

Pumpkin is an owner surrender, at Liberty Humane in Jersey City, and about 5 years old. He is very gentle, never growls, never swats. He just sits terrified in his crate . He is easy to pick up and hold. I suspect he will never be adopted at any shelter without more help. He needs that special person who has time to really work with him. He is a very deserving boy.

When he arrived, for many months, he was always in his litter box but volunteers have been working with him and now he is just huddled in his crate. If you pet him a long time he starts to relax a little bit. He needs a person who can really work with him. I have been trying for a long time to find him someone, but to no avail. As some of you know, Liberty Humane is in dire financial trouble, so I am trying to work on cats who are less adoptable by the general public.

If you know anyone who can help Pumpkin, please let me know and please keep him in mind. Of course the ideal would be a foster who could work with him in a home, but a sanctuary would be fine too.

Pumpkin is negative for FELV and FIV, neutered and up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.

Please keep him in mind.

Thank you,

Joan
