The look on his face says it all. Do you REALLY think I AM GOING OUT IN THIS SNOW? Needless to say, he did an about face and marched in the house. No snow for the Gabe.

What did the Aby gang say?

The look on Gabe's face was very similar to mine this morning and like him I refused to go out today. The kits were fascinated by the white stuff. It's still coming down but very lightly.

Gee Gabe why the hesitation? You've got your nice warm coat back. :) I guess he doesn't want to get his little footsies wet and cold! Brrrrr! We have had so much rain these past two days that I can't even begin to think what we would be dealing with if it had been snow. I heard there was some icy mix up in parts of New England and some people had lost power too. Stay warm up there!

Well, I have a very large porch that they all hang out on, and the snow did blow onto the porch. So that is where the Aby cats experience their snow. Unfortunately, Graemer, of course, has always considered snow a substitute for kitty litter, and uses it to cover up his "business" after he goes in the snow. So, once the snow hits the porch, no more porch for the kitties until the snow melts. I have indoor/outdoor carpeting on the porch and I can't have Graemer doing his business on it all winter, in the snow!

I will try Graemer outside in the real snow sometime next weekend. It is too dark and cold right now, to take him out!

My cats don't go out, but sometimes I make a snowball and bring it inside for them. They are fascinated by snow. Abby likes to eat it.

That's a great picture. If I were Gabe I'd be ready to run and play with that big coat.

Sas, well we had a little snow yesterday and a lot today! My kids even got a snow day off from school! I bet Gabe doesn't even think about looking out the door today!
My cat says forget about it until the snow melts off the deck and then only on a sunny day will she set foot out there.:)

Dear Gabe,

I had my first snow of the year yesterday as well. I went out in it for a VERY little bit. Worse of it was momma and poppa WASHED my feet when I came back in! (Something aobut she didn't take off Friday to get the carpet cleaned for me to track in mud???) The indignity of it. I do a far better job than they do in any case.

Now...go back inside....pop open a brewski and sit in front of the fireplace (in the movies all houses in Vermont have wonderful fireplaces!) with your sweet furry feet up on a soft cushion.....and get that querulous look off that GORGEOUS face of yours!

Your snow bunny....

Oooh, Gabesy boy, get inside before your face freezes in that position!!! You look like you are trying to do an imitation of the Tazmanian Devil! :)

Ritz says that the best place to look at the snow is in front of the patio window, sitting ON the heat vent!
