My Sweet Redbud Is Gone

My Redbud is gone. :(:( He has joined his momma over Rainbow Bridge. This doesn't even feel real to me
right now, but he is gone.:( Red didn't come when I called the kitties for breakfast. I went to find him and saw
him laying on the tile floor next to the stairway. His breathing was very shallow & he wouldn't move at all.
I called the Vet & took him to the office right away.He looked like he was dying & the Vet confirmed it.To spare
Red any more pain, she performed the euthanasia. I can't believe he's gone. My sweet Redbud.:(:(

Oh Liz, I'm so sorry to hear that your Redbud has gone, and so sudden. :( What a handsome boy he was.

I hope it will be a comfort that he went so fast and probably without suffering much. Keep the good memories and know he is resting comfortably now.

Red's body was cold to the touch when I found him this morning, but he was
still breathing. He only moaned when I picked him up to put in the carrier.:( The
Vet said his organs had already started to shut down & death was near. I asked
the dr. to go ahead & help him on his way.:(:( He didn't want to eat yesterday
but I didn't think too much of it & made a mental note to watch him today & if he
skipped another meal, I'd call for a Vet appt.

This all happened so fast. Why could I not see if he was that ill? Red was the sweetest
baby & I will miss him so much.:(

This knocked the wind right out of me. I saw it, and I just couldn't comprehend, at all. I am so very, very sorry to hear Redbud is gone. It was so sudden, and frankly one or two days of not eating isn't really a big deal. I know I wouldn't think much of it myself. Maybe this hits close to home with me, as Georgia went in a very similar fashion, and I found her under my bed, barely alive. Her organs, too, had failed. Cats hide things from us, and Redbud's time was just his time, as much as it destroys you. He knew lots and lots of love, Liz, and the memories you have will light up your heart one day. Please, the grief of losing Redbud is enough, do not second guess yourself one bit.

This is such sad news as Redbud is one of our favorite Cats on Pet General.
Its sad that we cannot have Our Cat Companions longer, sometimes they are just gone too soon.
Redbud will join Our Tex Mex Angels for Tacos Today at Poco Loco , and we know he will love the pulled pork.
Redbud looks wonderful in his wings of Silver and Gold now , and we know that he will start looking for a place where you can all join in love.

Liz, just HUGS! Redbud was such a beautiful and handsome boy. Be gentle with yourself - as was said here, no one thinks too much of it if a furbaby goes off their food for a day or so.

You did the most loving and most difficult thing helping him to the Bridge. It sounds like he just started to fade gently til you found him.
